Bringing in Tom Pope would be a different option. He's also currently playing at league two level.

I will be surprised if he's any good at all, but it's not like we are breaking the bank. I just think that people should not get their hopes up about this one. if he was any good he wouldn't be where he is at the moment.

This smacks of the Luton Shelton signing in 2007, albeit for less money. I see no deal we've done so far that improves the 1st XI, and this won't change that. Hopefully we will get one deal done that does that.

He seems a type that complements the other strikers a little better and therefore could make our match day squad better. Robinson had used up his chances for now.

The difference between Chinese football and L2 is wages, meaning some decent players will try the former, especially when things have gone stale. But I agree we shouldn't expect too much from this guy, it's another cheap gamble.

Agree.....I’m seeing similarities between Zivkovic and Morrison.
As teenagers they were both hot properties with many experts predicting big things for both.
But both have lost their way and their careers are slipping away.....both are at the crossroads with something to prove.

Would imagine we’ve not paid much for Zivkovic and he’s just seen as a low cost/ high reward punt.
I’m not expecting much but he does have massive potential.

Zivkavic is 23........the other 2 players Retsos and Berge are 21...so all 3 are young.
Zivkavic is obviously very talented or was talented...so at least he does have potential for Wilder and Knill to work on.

On writing players off/backing Wilder to the hilt, I would expect that this signing is a flyer that the club hopes might turn out brilliantly, but they aren't pinning everything on it. I think it's similar to Ravel Morrison - if it comes off fantastic, if, in all likelihood, he doesn't make much of an impact, no harm done.
