Interesting listening to FH last night. They’d said that sky sports reported Cleary put in a transfer request and later said that clubs were backing away from bidding as Barnsley wanted too much for him as he was tied into a long term contract.

Fair play to Barnsley but it’ll be interesting to see how he plays now that he didn’t manage to force a move

I can understand why Choudhury was brought in given the injury to Seriki though, we definitely needed another option at RB. Would have liked to think we could have signed a creative player too.

Why do we need 5 players that can play at RB? We've got Seriki, Doherty, Shackleton, Tanganga, Curtis, I bet you could get McCallum to fill in there like Osborn had to do for Hecky.

Just admit he's terrible at spending limited money. We've let our front 3 go and what little we've brought it have all been defensive playesr.

Ohares decision was easy, stay at a team that is getting torn apart and has the threat of a points deduction or go to one that is building for promotion, could make you famous all over North America on vastly higher wages with the potential to earn even more in the PL

He wouldn’t be the first player that’s had to stay at a club after a bid is turned down.

Due to the way premier league clubs hoover up young talent the traditional league one hotshot to championship pipeline isn't quite the same anymore We have a lot of players who would absolutely shine in league one right now. Doesn't mean they can in the championship in the same way.

I don't know if we were one of them, but Barnsley said they'd turned down "multiple 7 figure bids), reportedly from Millwall and Bristol City as two of them

It seemed like Barnsley's gamble paid off, though as he's not sulked and has just got on with playing, they could've benched him after if his attitude wasn't right or he could've lost a bit of form, but seems like he's got his head down and is doing alright

Agreed, clearly got a good attitude, cracked on seems to be improving every week, fair play to barnsley too held their nerves and will probably pay off in Jan or next summer
