So your captain is a failed CB who everyone hopes is not in the team ?

What an utterly bizarre Wilder inspired dose of Bladey Blade underdog tripe.

How the fuck do you expect to boss a Championship with that kind of crazy nonsense ...

Keeping a man in the team as captain coz he likes fighting with strikers , giving away fouls , giving away the ball ...
Oh , but
He's a CULTURE CARRIER 🙄

What culture is that then ?

The culture of failure ?

An interesting theory and there is argument for full clean out if that were the case.
I think he’s good enough to be on the bench as back up as he was when Souttar was here.

Have you met Faxon ?
He's not very tall and has the physique of a 12 year old.
It's years till he's ready for the Championship , if ever.
It will be a long time before he's ready for our first team, but an early taste of first team football in non-league might be what he needs at the moment.

He's 17 isn't he?, if so that's usually when you want to be on loan in the conference/national league getting your first experience of 1st team football.

Said this before, a few times, but the late, great, Brian Clough wrote in his autobiography, something along the lines of defence being the first, and most important, thing that he built in his teams. Above a great keeper, a great play maker, a great striker, it was defence. His reasoning was that if someone gets past your defenders and is one-on-one with your keeper, at that point, it's 50/50, they either score or they miss/keeper catches, etc.

He didn't want that 50/50 scenario, so you don't let anyone get to be one-on-one with your keeper.

In front of the defenders you put an enforcer, who slows play down between midfield and defence. That means your defenders have time to set up, when the opposition are attacking.

Of course, getting good attacking players is important, but his reasoning was that with the above approach, the worst that could happen was a 0-0 draw.

I'm not saying Cloughy was 100% right, but when I read that, years ago, it all made sense (to me, at least).

Not exciting enough though, fans not happy.

Wilder out.

Personally wouldn't mind him staying, bring a new backup GK anyway, demote Davies to 3rd choice and maybe look at getting Faxon out on loan.

Even if it's just to the National League at the moment, it gets him used to first team football that he isn't yet used to in U23's.

I know some don’t like him but Robbo is more than good enough to be on the bench of Championship team and I expect him to take up his option. The fact that we didn’t replace Souttar in January with a player fit enough to play is another matter entirely.
Don't get me wrong - I like him - when I'm pissed-up on a night out and it's getting lairy , there's no one id rather have by my side.

But as the first reserve CB in a club with parachute payments and whose US owners wanting PL ????

FFS , just think about it for a moment.

He's a mate of Wilder's , that's the only card he's playing.

And the owners can't see the trick Wilder's pulling ?

He’s 20.

Instead of emotionally ranting use some logic. He has triggered a clause due to injuries meaning he will get another year. If the injury didn't happen he wouldn't have played much. Once we are at full strength he will be back to a sub again.

Palace won the fa cup and a player who hardly featured this year was their club captain and lifted the cup

RND, A Davies, T Davies, Brewster, Shackleton can go for free. I'd sell any of the big hitters with two years or less left on their deals (for the right money) if they won't sign a new contract.
It's not free to get rid of any of those apart from Brewster

Not personally.
I've watched him play.
He's 6ft2 and still growing.
Looks a terrific prospect.
Faxon is a cracking goalkeeper. His distribution is excellent and he's very calm and composed for his age. He's always impressed me when I've watched the development team.

Freckleton has potential but I worry about his ability to step up due to his age, as he's 21 and hasn't played above League Two level. We might get a small fee for him at best.

I think its tomorrow extra 4 days due to play offs, who do you want to see gone and who retained.

I think Robinson has been promised a new deal, i think we are overweight with defensive midfielders so could be trimmed for funds.

With the rumoured Souzza Hamer Anel departures could be an interesting transfer window which opens on June 1st

Most importantly I think the board statement is positive and look forward to developments over the next few weeks.

Distance, age and health may make this my last season going to games - whover we get, whoever is in charge, come on you blades.

Wilder is the only one that matters.
If not #sufc are in a doom loop
Best players go as Der Fuhrer the glorious leader has to have total loyalty and subservience
Last year Leeds sold over 100 million of talent
There number 1 target was Bogle
Wilder got 6 million
WE CANNOT AFFORD SUCH STUPIDITY
SUCH INCOMPETENCE
Choudhury is already rumoured coming.
Even if has WAS a potential signing a premier league player WHICH HE IS NOT
SEND HIM BACK - get him on a free, Leicester are bust.
10 million wasted similarly on **** knows what attributes CANNON
Same situation
A SIGNING NOT NEEDED after BBD
NONE of his signings at Christmas contributed (except a couple of good game from Choudhury when we were short)
BBD top striker - stuck defending on wing - like Brewster
Holding looked good but we saw the invisible man more often.
WILDER OUT
Sean Dyche in
KEEP THE BEST with promises to leave IF and the hope of a dominant respected manager not the DONKEY leader of a WWI slaughter suicide over the top mission - which Wilder is for SUFC.

A quick search and he was 20 in February. One site had him down as 6'2".

Seen him warming up at the lane before a few games this season.

Thought he was younger than 20 but I can see what people mean about him needing to bulk up a bit, he's a bit on the skinny side.

Cooper and Souza are around the same height as him but both look a lot more bulky.

T Davies injury prone is the issue but worth hanging on to and seeing if we can get something back this next season - 25/30 games out of him would be worth it he's class above at this level - gamble worth taking IMO

Problem this season was we had to play Tom Davies for 95th minutes twice/three times a week as we didn't have anyone else. He was fine playing but needed to not have so much game time straight away.

Doesn’t mean we can’t get rid of Robbo and terminate that year.
When Wilder arrived he inherited Hammond who had just taken an option up to extend his contract. CW binned him and wouldn't let him near the first team training. Of course he didn't sign him so Wilder could let someone else take the blame for that.

SUFC Prices to keep or be able to replace
Buy low sell high is the mantra
Hamer 30M - will be desperate to leave Wilder and for Prem
Anel 25M - probably stays so NEEDS a good new manager
Vini 25M - as above
Cooper (won't need to go ) £25 M
Burrows 25M? - should be happy enough at Champ for now - someone may offer £20million if not for muppet Wilder.
Campbell £20M - they won't pay that but he will want a chance at Prem. Don't sell for 10 we would be offered knowing Wilder is an imbecile 'dealer'
Cannon - pray for a ludicrous 10 million from Sunderland
OHare - pray for a ludicrous bid (5m +) from as big a clown as Wilder and more 'experts'. I'd release to none league (his level as we saw in his star debut) ) if it was not for the ludicrous praise I hear this muppet getting.
MUST KEEP YOUTH just Seriki Peck Arblaster Brooks now (with Burrows a top 5 in midfield) (plus Marsh, Blacker, One and others I suspect) unlike last year with Bogle Osula Jebbison who wanted nothing to do with Wilder based on experience
I'd keep Robinson re squad player backup but sign a BIG left footer. Never replaced OConnell before and Wilder has failed in 3 seasons now.
Happy with Dunne coming in in Championship (impressed at the Lane in both boxes and won key headers at loftus road as well) but he is NOT a left footed centre back.
ANEL CANNOT PLAY ON THE LEFT OF A TWO OR THREE - not with chuckle brothers tactics anyway ie WILDER OUT
RND is better than most but fit? and Wilder never liked/rated sufc youth so will leave and worse stay or come in.
Always rated Keifer Moore as the player the lazy scumbag McDonkey was supposed to be. But when his (or anyones) game or fitness goes (eg Burrows at Watford) we need someone who can see the pitch events not the imbecile 'Fred Basset' Wilder whose subs are written on a fag packet before the game.
Get BBD 5-6 million they paid. GOOD STRIKER
Get Holding if wages can be reasonable, plus fit enough or per game
Brewster will go if he gets an offer. He knows wilder is an imbecile who plays him out of position all the time. I'm tipping Burnley as the best fit - best chance he has - maybe Sunderland who are very poor in most positions.
We all know who could should go rest of journeymen failures loans (Clarke Choudhury ) plus
Davies (fee?) if have better free options, Shackleton, T Davies (get a fee?), McCallum - great lad NOT good enough if SERIOUS about Prem and Wilder is NOT so a clue there,
As for loans under Wilder
Destroyed young players McAtee and Archer in half a season last season
Gilchrist and Jesus treated like shit on this run in
No one SHOULD lend Wilder a good YOUNG player and we can run out of clubs as there are a few who buy them all
And if you did not know we were doomed under Wilder then McDonkey (sufc WORST signing in history of club) was announced as a free on Saturday morning AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Things can only get better? - DREAM ON CLOWNS
WILDER OUT NOW

I was with you all the way, until you mentioned Dyche! He's a clone of Wilder, and we would be getting more of the same!
