if robinson stays he can only be back up can see us being in for souttar holding and possibly chris mepham also think jimmy dunne is nailed on to come in for right back with seriki with hamer and souza both likely to be sold will be interesting to see the midfielders we bring in

If, and it’s a big if, CW is still here, I wouldn’t be too upset at seeing Gus go. Our tactics have been built around winning games in the first 60 mins, largely due to his brilliance. He goes off and we then shift to defensive mode. However, a new manager might either a) get him fit or b) have a different attitude to the final 1/3 of a game

I think Souttar is out until the new year.

We shifted to defensive mode long before he went off Saturday (nothing new in that )

Shame JLT has triggered his extension, I'd have binned him after his abomination away at Wolves in the FA cup a few years ago.

I'm meh on Brewster. If we'd got him in a free, I'd let him go, as he's been poor/injured for 4 years. It's the size of the original fee that makes you think.

I think Adam Davies is poor, so he can go.

RND won't recover to the level we need him to be at, so regretfully he can go too.

I'd sell Anel as he was great first season, but has looked limited since.

Apart from Hamza I wouldn't sign any of the loan players.

Shackleton is another who is either injured or just too small and weak to make any difference. Another small utility player.

Tom Davies can go too. Good when he's fit, but in 18 months he hardly ever has been.

Lots of squad players to move on.

Let the DoF decide the signings above £100, and let Wilder sign anyone £99 or less.

If it meant keeping Souza then I wouldn't be upset if we sold Peck. I also wouldn't be too upset losing Brooks as there's not been enough from him to miss.

I accepted long ago that if we didn't go up then we'd lose Hamer, Souza and Anel. I just hope we get decent fees for them.

Realistically the money we'd get for them would massively help with recruitment beyond replacements. I don't think we're at risk of losing Burrows or Cooper unless a truly stupid offer came in.

Losing players I can accept but who we sign and for how much will say a lot about our new owners. I am hugely concerned about the idea of Wilder and a big chequebook.
Agree re Peck. He can go missing in MF and never got into game at Wembley imo.

As for Brooks he’s going to be like Mayenda given a good run in the team, again imo

Will we finally get rid of that waste of space Adam Davies?
Personally wouldn't mind him staying, bring a new backup GK anyway, demote Davies to 3rd choice and maybe look at getting Faxon out on loan.

Even if it's just to the National League at the moment, it gets him used to first team football that he isn't yet used to in U23's.

Doesn’t mean we can’t get rid of Robbo and terminate that year.

Id look at bringing in Matthew Ryan as competition/cup gk, hes becomes a free agent and would be an excellent choice over Davies.

But I can see him going to Southampton as back up/starter (if they sell ramsdale) and following Still there.

Who is actually out of contract?

Jack Robinson and Rhian Brewster (i expect both to stay)

Then you have 6 returning loanees:
  • Holding
  • Choudhury
  • Rak-Sakyi
  • Brereton-Diaz
  • Clarke
  • Gilchrist
So we stand to lose 6 to 8 players.

I would transfer list the following:
  • Adam Davies
  • Jamie Shackleton
  • Rhys Norrington-Davies
And get the following out on loan:
  • Ryan One
  • Christian Nwachukwu
  • Jefferson Caceres
  • Jamal Baptiste
  • Harry Boyes
  • Sai Sachdev
  • Billy Blacker
  • Louie Marsh

There's only Brewster that will be of any interest. I imagine we will say we're in negotiations
We've tried very hard to make Brewster a success at this club. He's matured a bit this season, but it's hard to imagine him finding the form to become a regular in a promotion chasing side. We seem to have concluded he won't make it as a striker, so have tried him in other attacking roles. Still, one promising performance is usually followed by a disappointing one.

Cannon is a player with similar attributes. One should have a bigger part to play next season. Marsh may offer something different if he's kept on. TC will hopefully be able to build up his stamina. For the attacking midfield roles I think we need to look for specialists with creativity, pace and goal scoring ability, rather than have squad players like Brewster filling in.

Keep: Cooper, Holding, Hamza, Peck, Arblaster, Souza, Seriki, JRS, O'Hare. Not fussed about any of the rest tbh + Souttar if he ever gets fit.

JLT has another year due to the number games he's played, it's his choice if he stays.

Brewster has shown in the last 6 months he's a good player at the level. If he's realistic with his wage expectation I would give him a 2 year deal.
Brewsters taken 7 million in wages from us and scored how many goals?..... he's probably the worst signing ever made and needs to go!, oh.....he scored at the sty......but that's his input for this season, where was he on Saturday.....certainly not at Wembley for sure.
