Still in the top 6 , still 12 points above the truffle hunters
I’ve just seen the Wallace tackle on Fleck , definitely a red card and for all their bluster about injuries the, the cost of their squad must have been in the 25 million region and are the injured players that much better , I suspect not.
Not such a bad weekend altogether

Hanging in there at the minute. We really need a few wins though to get things moving upwards again. Top 2 is still just about gettable as we play most of the teams who are above us again.

yes. 6th place with 19 games to go. that has to be the target for season's end now I think. Hopefully the new signings help us to have more options

We've only got 2 league games to play in january . Maybe time to really bed the newbies in .

All of whom bar Wilson are cup tied.

I was thinking more about the training ground than ' live ' games .

Having said that though isn't there a ' game ' scheduled for Monday that Cheds having a run out in ?

If we can get Leonard and Evans up to speed - then the future will be bright!!

I can Tufty tweaking a system with those two and Fleck to move us forward!!

Fingers crossed...

The good news is we are still 6th, and we appear to have acquired long-planned signings rather than panic buys. The bad news is the clubs are piling in just below us. Glass half-full or half-empty?

I can't help but feel really conflicted at the moment. We're miles ahead of where we were expected to be but I'm starting to feel the frustration that we aren't picking up as many points as we should right now. I've no right to complain about a squad that's been assembled on a League One budget and yet it feels like we should be doing better. And even with our recent drop in results we're sitting in a play-off spot.

It feels like we're just missing a little bit extra to get the energy and tempo back. Hopefully the new lads will do that for us.

It's aggravating the number of points we have lost undeservedly, I'm not talking about when shit teams just come for the point I mean when we play well and get nowt.

We’ve picked up 7 points in the 10 games since Burton back in mid-November. Unbelievable good fortune for us to be still 6th – and an excellent opportunity if we can find form.
Not so much unbelievable good fortune we’re still in the top six, more we deservedly built up a point cushion that’s kept us there.

Yeah frustrating where we could be if we'd just beat Brum and Bolton for instance.

That said to be where we are after this recent run of results shows that if we can anywhere like back on track, the play offs are more than attainable. Can't say I would have said that in August.

Just seen "The Championship". Looked to be bad refereeing decisions. Ipswich player did a "Tarrico" to get a L**ds player sent off. Boro should have had a penalty and a Fulham player dived to get a penalty

Oh that’s definitely part of it. But even with the points cushion, there have been plenty of examples (today being the latest) where those below us have failed to capitalise in fixtures that on paper looked like great opportunities. Hopefully this will be the end of our bad spell though.
