I'm not sure what you mean by "surge". South Korea had 22 cases yesterday and has never had more than 9 people die in any one day. Our stats today include 870 dead and more than 4600 new cases.

In my mind we could learn a lot from the way they have managed it, and they can learn virtually nothing from us.

The people telling you that the tests aren't reliable are the same people who can't get our testing in place, it's a distraction technique

Going back to startup. Frustratingly there will need to be a month off to allow the teams promoted and relegated to cut their cloths after the pigs are relegated.

My wife, who works at a hospital goes out everyday, but no-one else does except to do the very basics.

Sorry, I assumed you meant a total lockdown for an area. How many people in that area need to be tested positive before lockdown?

Todays plan is still keeping numbers down with the current arrangements for the next three weeks. That would be the time to think about changes as the numbers come in. If numbers decrease then it would appear to be working as planned, hopefully that will happen. Three weeks of calling for change to the current position now does no one any good, particularly from posters - not you - who want lockdown being eased primarily because they don’t like it. If it’s working, it’s working, if it’s not, Is easing restrictions a safe fall back plan?

Imagine Liverpool celebrating their title to nobody, our players doing a lap of honour to empty seats and the pigs finishing all their games with the same amount as their last few games.

Reminds me of the (think 84 season) when we’d played all our matches but Hull still had ONE match to play away at Burnley.

Hull needed to win by 3 clear goals for them to gain promotion....fail to win by 3 clear goals and we were promoted.
That season playing away at Turf Moor was normally a really tough match...so it was a huge task for a Hull....but Burnley had nothing to play for.

I listened to the game on Radio Sheffield....RS had a report at the game and they kept going to the ground for updates very 10 minutes.

From memory Hull were in general control with Burnley defending well....Hull went 1-0 up after 30 minutes.
I remember thinking.....just keep it down to 1-0 at half time and we’ve a great chance.

The half time scoreline was Burnley 0 Hull City 1......i was fairly pleased with that....I knew Hull needed an early goal in the 2nd half.

They didnt get their early goal but half way through the 2nd half it became Burnley 0 Hull 2.....oh shit...Hull only needed 1 more goal to stop us being promoted.
The reporter kept raving on about their best player Brian Marwood....and in the last 15 minutes Hull through everyone up into attack and had loads of goso mouth scrambles.....but Hull couldn’t force it over the line and they only won 2-0 meaning Sheff Utd were promoted.

I remember thinking the footballing Gods were smiling down on us....we went up with a little bit of luck
BUT there were very few Blades to witness such special/ nerve racking success....I know there were a few Blades who made the trek to cheer Burnley on
but our promotion wasnt celebrated en masse.......wonder if it will be the same this year.....getting into Europe but no one there to celebrate.

Been speaking to a current player who also has contacts at sky. says we are on for a EFL return on the 6th of June and EPL on the 8th as it stands

45 days to play remaining games then a further 9 days for Play offs and Finals. then 4 weeks off then start pre season,

these are his words, it would suggest a later start of September? but I guess that also gives the virus time to subside and more hope of a vaccine being found?

All depends on what the government decide to do at their next 3 week review. Highly unlikely they will relax restrictions until June so I can't see how this season will get played out.

Yes can only be decided on all teams having played 28 games (if no further games are going to take place),so them thats played 29 have their last game taken away.
