Been speaking to a longstanding (not a bullshitter) client today who is very good mates with a board member of a premier league club. He told me they are looking at second week in May to start playing games. Sky are putting major pressure on clubs. Also there are huge foreign TV revenues which will could be lost otherwise.

Never claimed to be ITK but the client is trustworthy and I have been out socially with him & the football executive so can verify his is mates with the source.

This would obviously be subject to many factors which the Premier League can't control but shows how desperate they are to resume.
 



Anything they do will be behind closed doors. Italy,which is ahead of us in virus timeline,is talking about no games in front of crowds until 2021

Was thinking about season tickets today and wondering what’ll happen regarding next season’s tickets and when they’ll issue them.

Personally not bothered about refund, rather be given the option of equivalent amount knocked off next season’s ticket.
 
Players have been given a report back date of 14 May so that would suggest second week in May is date for resuming training. All subject to Government restrictions. Media today suggesting beginning of June is date to get games up and running again.

At the start of this I’d have said watching games played behind closed wouldn’t interest me, now I’d snap your hand off! As for a season ticket refund, they’ve not set next years price yet so in theory they could add any refund onto that. Not that I think they would, and I would rather be in our position than that of the pigs who may have already spent next years ticket money.
 
This talk is one of the, many, theories been thrown up in newspapers. Guess your source is confusing training date with games starting again. Frankly can't say I am enthusiastic about behind closed doors football as a 'product' it's just not the same.

Imagine Liverpool celebrating their title to nobody, our players doing a lap of honour to empty seats and the pigs finishing all their games with the same amount as their last few games.
 
Understand the scepticism (I cannot see it being that early), and many people claim to be in the know. For the record it comes from the CEO of Burnley. Thought would confirm this to illustrate that not making it up. It also ties in with what their chairman saying about their potential financial plight hence the desperation to get games played.

I can only take the information given on face value and like I said on original post, football clubs may have no choice in the matter.

On one hand if I ordered 19 of something and only received 14 or 15 I would unquestionably ask for a refund
On the other hand we have to accept that the club have lost millions in gate receipts, match day sponsors etc, and asking for compensation however it’s received is withdrawing money from our club

If that's the case mate 2021 you can forget about football all together financially ruined all of them!!

It’s slightly different though in that if you only received 14 things, the company would send you the other 5 things as soon as you notified them and only if they couldn’t provide a satisfactory alternative would you get a refund.

However in this instance all clubs could offer is free streaming of games. Given that only one of our remaining home games was not scheduled for live tv coverage, the majority of season ticket holders would be able to see the remainder of the games anyway. Imo this is not a satisfactory alternative, so as season ticket holders we could potentially have grounds for a refund.

As many others have said, I’d be happy for this to be knocked off next seasons price, however that won’t be the same for everyone. Presuming sky and BT continue to broadcast games when the season resumes, they have an obligation to pay out on the tv rights which means clubs should still receive the mega bucks. Can’t imagine for one second that clubs will be relying on gate receipts to stay afloat at this level.
 
All players to report to the training grounds and be billeted together for the remainder of the season with no outside contact from anybody else. They did it during the war!
 
BT have been smart, I called up to cancel/Postpone my subscription and they just said they're not cancelling anything as they're providing it for free until further notice. i paused Sky online and cancelled Premier sports all together
 
as i always say this is a great idea & looking forward to more football & nothing i would want more. i dont want to be the person that pissing on your bonfire but until the answers of these 3 questions are yes. then i doubt sport can continue. because imagine the worst happens & we have a petr cech or a aaron ramsey happen on that pitch

are there spare ambulances
are there spare medics
are there spare places in hospital if worst happens

because otherwise this would be a PR disaster. you know the headlines football taking valuable resources away from the fight v coronavirus. footballers denying sick people beds

More chance of 5g causing covid 19 than anyone going overseas to watch a football match. Can't even go to the town up the road!

All very well the Premier league playing behind closed doors with the games on TV or streamed but what about the EFL clubs who rely on matchday income and can't fall back on TV money? I can see a lot of clubs going to the wall this year, football as we know it in this country might just be finished for good, desperate times for club in leagues one and two not just the bigger clubs with huge overheads.

Ambulances? Buy some!
Medics? All clubs have medical teams including doctors.
Hospitals? If there aren’t any spare hospital beds, then the country is fucked!
