Whatever happens, can I appeal to all not to boo him?

That will make us look like the classless shower of cunts Chelsea looked like chanting for Abrhamovic the other day.

Dignity and respect and show him what he's missing at Bramall Lane, how noisy and atmospheric it can be and what it sounds like when we win

pommpey
I wont applaud or boo him before or during the match. I might applaud or boo him after the match

Fuck sake. I was furious when he left and in many ways still am at the way it ended. He wouldn't have walked out on the basis of the results, there's far more to it and for that I still lay the blame at the feet of the board.

But it's done. It's history. He's now one of the biggest obstacles between this club and the premier league. I honestly hope there's no respect on display. I hope he gets nothing, but vitriol and hatred before and during and we smash them off the park. Don't give them an advantage of a warm welcome. Learn from "super Ched" chants please.

I say this as someone who respects and loves Wilder more than any previous manager, but tomorrow night is not the time. He made clear that he will stoop to lower levels to gain an advantage when he called off the initial fixture. Now it's our turn. No airs and graces, no pleasantries and thank you's, just fucking beat them. Save it for after

definitely a good reception pre match, maybe even post match if we hammer them.

Anything else after that is ridiculous, he did a great job for us but spending over 100m in blades colors and leaving us with some of the players he has doesn't deserve that much credit.

If and when we’ve won, a chant including the words “agent Wilder” will be ok.

Would be nice if we can have a moment of respect/applause for Chris tomorrow night

Seen on facebook few mention this , would be nice if we could get a rendition of Allez allez in the 9th minute for the 9th place finish in the premier league as a show of respect to our old boss

Personally I would find it weird to say thank you to him
Just Chuck wet shitty toilet roll at him or maybe a flare or two.

One minute of furious wanking on the Kop.....

The sensible thing to do would be for the club to do a tannoy announcement just before kick-off. Get him to wander on to the edge of the pitch, give him a round of applause and then just get on with it. Maybe McBurnie can present him with a bunch of flowers?
Or maybe a watch?

When the likes of Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire and many others came back to BL they received warm applause as recognition of their service for the club. But when the whistle goes they can fuck right off as they aren’t blades anymore.

That seems equally appropriate to wilder as far as I am concerned.

Agree, but also don’t tbh

Walker and Maguire left us to clearly go onto better things, they have progressed to live up to that, for club and country

They also brought into the club a multi million pound transfer fee, and I feel proud to see them knowing they came from our academy

CW meanwhile left to save his CV, having publicly called out the owners and many of “his” players, he took up to a £4m payoff, and left our club a laughing stock due to his ineptitude in his final season

No one can ever fault his first few years, but his attitude, demeanour, barbed comments and back doorin it have left a very sour taste
A taste that would be bad enough if he was some foreign coach that quite clearly had ever heard of Sheffield before landing on these shores, and was out for a payday
But for a self confessed “one of our own” -
Bad drills Chris, unforgivable.

I lost all respect for the man when left so he wouldn’t have a relegation on his c v he thought he’d leave that for Hecky.
Do you honestly, honestly believe that's why he left?! Because only a fool would say he doesn't have a relegation on his C.V. He left because he didn't want to work any longer for a chairman that clearly he didn't see eye to eye with and I think the last straw was the lack of signing any players in January, Wilder knew we were down and didn't want to just go through the motions to the end of the season because it was obvious to him that he could no longer work with the Prince. We may find it hard to accept him leaving, because we our fans of the club, but to any manager they've got to be able to have the tools to do the job, I'm guessing, that he thought he could no longer continue working under the Prince and his model. What we don't know is the ins and outs of it, the detail, the transfers that didn't happen and/or why they didn't happen from both sides of the argument.

Well no matter what anybody thinks wilder hasent got a relegation on is c v Hecky has according to the Prince he wouldn’t listen to sense it was either hi way or nothing and when his way didn’t work out he went through the back door. I will always remember him for what he did for our club but just left a sour taste how he went.

When we eventually get to know the truth behind his departure I will make up my own mind. If there is summat not right behind the scenes then the fans deserve to know. As it stands, Wilder, a Blade, signed an NDA and allegedly got a pay off. Not that he needed the money. That bit sticks in my throat a bit.
Anyway, he is now like the ex wife to me, someone I used to love and have good times with, turned into somebody I can no longer stand the sight of.

The tail was trying to wag the dog and the prince was right to not let him waste more money !

Don’t think Gibson will bow to his every whim , will his toys come out of the pram again ?

That pretty much sums up how I feel.

4 magnificent seasons, with incredible memories. The best Blades manager in all my time watching us, so far at least. But that last season was horrendous, and whilst he wasn't to blame for everything (far from it in fact) he still had to shoulder his share, and his decision making became frankly bizarre at times.

I found the timing of his exit very frustrating, suspicious in fact. He should have either gone earlier, or waited it out to get a fully deserved R on his record. Then his recent antics in getting the last fixture postponed really got on my wick.

I know many will chew me out for thinking like this, but I couldn't give a toss to be honest.

I keep reading they're gonna come good.

A few renditions of "He's NOT one of our own" might be a good idea for those that wish to get vocal and for others mebbe throw your dummies onto the pitch prior to kick off and for the coked up nobheads a few flying empty bottles of Peroni aimed at the dugout would suffice.

Spot on neither could I.

Always look forward to your my take Pomp's and agree with a lot of what you say in regards to football but making any sort of comparison between football fans who would boo an ex manager and another set of football fans who intentionally and provocatively chant the name of a known associate of a murdering despot during a show of support for the victims of that despot? Come on.

He’ll get a good pre-match reception,just hope it doesn’t turn into a Wilder jizz-fest
It does give the match a nice edge to it,I’m expecting a great atmosphere and 3 points

Must admit to have wondered who he would have bought in January to improve what we had. His track record of previous premiership signings hardly inspired me to believe he would have done no more than waste money.
we are in the shit financially now, if we had given him his requested war chest in the January we Would really be in the deep Gumby

It's all about class and dignity. Chelsea fans showed they have none by doing that.

We'd be best positioned to give Wilder the muted respect he deserves - yep, he signed some utter wank, played a busted system and refused to strategically change things once it was clear we were painfully found out and vulnerable. But he also took us from a game we looked like we were set to lose at Gillingham to ninth in the top flight of English football, which to me was a roller coaster of a ride matched only by Harris, Bassett and in a diminished way, Warnock. We can't change any of the past. Booing him for his failings is a bit cheap, especially as he still remains a Unitedite. Not saying we should sing his praises at all and no, he isn't 'one of our own' (far from it) but we can do ourselves a favour on camera by not sinking to the levels of Chelsea just to prove a point - a point of which there is no point. And if Boro beat us, we will look like cunts and he is suitably vindicated in his actions.

My sentiments exactly.

I can only agree. For the record I don't advocate booing him. I'll be ignoring him as I do all opposition managers

I’m no fan of the Prince but from his point of view he surely saw how Wilder had spent the millions at his disposal yet we basically had the same starting eleven. His premier league signings have basically been very poor value for money. We were so far adrift you can see why he might have been so reluctant to release more funds?
We had some fantastic times under CW but if just 50% of his prem signings were successful then it might have been a different story.
Personally I’ll give polite applause before kick off but the fact he left through the very back door he constantly told us he wouldn’t leave through will always leave a slightly sour taste

He’ll def get a well deserved & respectful clap from me before the game for giving me four 4 out of 5 seasons some of the best football I’ve seen in my 45 yrs attending The Lane , after all the debate over this that this last year we are as as club were in shite sight better place than we were when he took over & fact lost on many .

But after that & all said & done when the whistle blows he’s just another opposition manager who I hope we turn over tmmw ⚔️⚔️

I couldn’t give a toss ,much respect what he did for us but the wheels fell off and blamed everyone apart from himself,I think giving him a “hero’s reception is disrespectful to hecky as he has had to drag us out of the shit we found ourselves in and got more of a tune out of the players that wilder could not
