That’s why I’m asking for your opinion. Considering the failure he’s been at West Brom do you still think he would have kept us up? It’s a simple question.

No-one could have. But we might have had more than 11 points. Moving forward...

Probably not as the players are not good enough. But he would have made us far more competitive
 
After all last year's speculation surely no PL side is going to take a chance on Wilder now.

The continued insistence on starting games with the same way of playing became beyond my comprehension a couple of months ago. Now I just think it could be deliberate posturing, obduracy elevated to an artform. A Yorkshire caricature.

I've said before he received so much praise for his innovative system from the likes of Bielsa and Guardiola that it's now part of his psyche. To abandon it will be a psychological trauma. So we're all held captive by his ego.

However.... I still think he should start next season and if all goes well, wonderful. But if, after a dozen games we're midtable or God forbid, heading downwards, that should be it.

It concerns me, though, that to be able to succeed again he's either going to need a fair few new players, or an exorcist.

Unless Sean Dyche has a dodgy prawn, I can't imagine any topflight team is going to appoint a manager who doesn't like foreigners.
 
One minute he's "One of our own"
The next minute we're having polls to see if enough support can be mustered to sack him.
I hope he leaves,but for his own sanity.
I hope he does a Warnock and grabs a team like QPR and takes them up while we disappear into oblivion again.
Be careful what you wish for.
It's what some on here deserve.

We’ve got the thinnest squad in the league. We’ve got 7 players out. No CB’s. I don’t know WTF some people expect. I could understand the bitching and squealing if Fulham had 7 out and we were at full strength! Pathetic.
 
Don’t want wilder to go, but theirs more chance of him resigning than being sacked. If this scenario happens I can only imagine it taking place in the championship if we dont get off to a decent start. The manager at Swansea seems to be doing well and has worked successfully with McBurnie and Brewster at that level.

I'm not advocating Wilder should go, but my confidence in him is wearing thin. but if he did go then Slaven Bilic would be my choice.

"Adkins like" means "like", not a direct reproduction of.
I'm reminded of that season purely because the glaring faults on the pitch that seem to be completely unacknowledged by Wilder in his post match interviews and his slow reactions to what's happening. It feels like the results are inevitable.

I've never advocated his sacking, I think that's as ridiculous as you obviously do, but I'm getting mightily tired of seeing the same mistakes repeated week after week after week. To compound matters he seems to be displaying a kind of bunker mentality.

He should be given the chance to turn it around next season, if he wants to, but that can't go on indefinitely if we're not immediately challenging.

As unpalatable as it may be, there comes a time when things have run their course and both parties need a change. Whether that's in 7 months time or 7 years we'll have to see.

if you think its meltdown time on here take a look on 🐷talk there suicidal resigned to league 1 football and are toxic towards their own players and especially chansiri some saying its the worst wednesday side theyve ever seen were garbage but their in a far worse state than us
