Just been released by Brentford / not had his contract renewed.

Odd one, as I’m sure he’s always been very highly thought of - obviously not seen too much of him play to form an opinion either way but he’s played over 100 times at this level.

Would he be worth a look as a technical midfielder or is he just living of name recognition and Chelsea youth team status now?

I have no clue whether he has the right attitude, whether he'd be interested or other such technicalities.

One thing is for sure though, he's a phenomenal footballer. Great to watch and tremendous technical ability - for that reason I hope we explore the possibilities at least.

He’s gash according to Bees fans. Mose Odubajo is the one they’re surprised he’s been released.

Yeah but critically their attitude & work-rate was never questioned.

That's fair enough. As I said above, I'm not sure what he's like off the pitch.

Are there any instances of him misbehaving, or is it just a percieved general attitude problem?

Yoann Barbet seems to be highly rated and he turned down a contract from Brentford and is now a free agent. Can't see us going for him though to be honest as I would imagine he'd want to be a first teamer and I can't see him instead of O'Connell or Stevens.

He's been 'the next big thing' for about about twelve years without ever breaking through. Perhaps people are just assuming then that he has an attitude problem whereas it could be something else.

Don't know if it is a family trait but his brother is very similar at Oxford City - when he's on it he looks levels above some is extremely inconsistent. Not sure if it an attitude or ability thing.

Doubt we need any of them they released in Premier League.

The released players are all around 25 years old - so Brentford had no choice. That's far too old.
