On the official site. I must say it caused me a moment's consternation, thinking the Club had dumped young Kyel on them, but in fact it is about Ron Reid, who joins the Fradi management/coaching team - as someone on here predicted recently.

At the end of the press release is a sentence that the club is looking for a new Academy Director.

Surely they need look no further than this site., There's quite a number of experts on here who know it all.

Heard a whisper the jobs taken - Curtis (ex BU) now resident know all on the jeremy kyle site starts as soon as MacDonalds can get someone in to pick up litter

Mark Smith is Blackwells choice for the role.

Bad, bad idea.

I also wouldn't bet on Reid staying in that new role too long. He took some talking into it and is thinking of jacking it all in.

Maybe if Turry gave him his list of special phone numbers he might find the job more interesting...

The Academy Manager/ Director is on that is slightly different.

You want the players coming through into the first team so there should be input from the current manager (whoever he is)

But the Academy is the future, if we have ambition as a club and we want to be getting 44k attendances into our state of the art ground... And from reading the OS today, we have training facilities that lots of clubs don't have for the bad weather... an indoor gym!

So ...like with the decision to get Trevor Birch in, we should be looking to get a man with lots of experience of football development, Academy's and general football in the community.

For this position I don't think we should be looking to breed our own. We've invested a lot of money in the Academy and we should be looking to get someone to take us to the next level.
