I said this in a thread a few years ago but I would like all professional games for referees to have some form of head cam, whether that is glasses with the camera attached or something attached to the head. So in incidents like this, the scrutiny can happen post match as needed. On this occasion, I can’t see how he didn’t see it but on some occasions we criticise the referee for missing something however our elevated view point in the stands without players blocking your view sometimes leads to the wrong opinion. Referees are human and just like footballers they don’t give a decision based on merit (mistake or not) but there could be a reason for itOutside the Premier League the Ref can only give what he or his assistants actually see.
VAR would have probably led to bookings etc for the Wednesday players involved.
But who wants VAR?
Basic functioning eyesight would have resulted into bookings for the pig players yesterday and possibly 2 penalties. The ref and his 2 buddies didn’t seem to be blessed with this.Outside the Premier League the Ref can only give what he or his assistants actually see.

Luckily it had no bearing on the result.I think both could have been red cards since they were last man, Campbell is through and doesn't need to go down:

Hamer is clearly getting pulled back here as well:

Campbell one was a definite foul. Hamer one felt more like he realised he wasn't getting to the ball and decided to go down.I think both could have been red cards since they were last man, Campbell is through and doesn't need to go down:

There were a few other questionable decisions from him.
The Campbell one is really poor. Did he think that the defender cleanly got the ball through the back of him?
And in both those screenshots where is the ref?
Campbell is a pretty selfish striker, I'd be very surprised if this was a dive when he'd much rather score.I think both could have been red cards since they were last man, Campbell is through and doesn't need to go down:

There was probably about 5 similar incidents in the first half where Stoke got away with blatant pushes. I like it when refs allow more of the physical stuff but this ref was a bit too lenient at times.
We are sat in G Block South Stand edge of penalty area. Could clearly see the Campbell pull back. It was a clear foul, how the ref and Lino thought the defender got the ball from behind is unbelievable.
