Yes this is a post about the owners, but I feel it warrants it's own thread.

This is uncharted territory for them, they aren't football people and are going to make mistakes - that's a given. The best we can hope for as fans is that they acknowledge and rectify these mistakes, and that they don't let their own ego(s) get in the way of the club's interests. I can't think of many who would have eaten humble pie and gone back to a manager, just months after sacking them, just look at Forests owner. Sacking a manager who's led them to their highest finish in modern football and willingly throws it away over a silly disagreement.

Yes maybe it would be nice to have more communication and visibility, but the flipside is them storming on to the pitch a la Maranakis.

For the record, I backed their decision during Summer as I felt change was needed, and I was more than willing to give Selles a try. It hasn't worked and getting rid of Wilder - at least in the manner it transpired - was a mistake.

Onwards an upwards.

Do we know that they sacked CW or did they disagree on the way forward and agree to go their separate ways ? It cannot have been acrimonious otherwise they wouldn’t go back to him nor him return.

Maybe a bit of both but by all accounts he left on good terms, said he didn't burn any bridges
