Massive win. Well done lads.

Psychologically as much as the 3 points for me.

I'll take 4 points from the next 2 games.

Great result! but as a extra note i would like to say it is possible to critique a poor 1st half performance and still support the team contrary to other supporters unwavering form of support

Like to know what they put in the tea at half-time

Well done Blades!!!
Looking forward to Friday, should be a good un

Thank god we showed up somewhat in the second half. That first half was as boring a game I've seen. Goes to show you play your best goal scorer to give yourself a better chance.

One up the Jacksy for all our moaning minny ne'r-do-well so-called fans who are so quick to summon the Prophets of Doom - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!

I haven’t been as I don’t go away but I believe that Bashambaur is MOTM! Well done Chris Basham.....Mr Sheff Utd!

Why don’t we just stick with our usual game? Few teams seem to know how to handle it

Reading have a good team of athletes . Unfortunately for them they have few actual footballers.

It may have taken us till late on but there was only ever going to be one winner.

Great 3 points in the end...pity we wasted the first 45 mins!!! So much better second half playing our proper game. Oh Billy...

Reading were absolutely awful. Nailed on for relegation.

Agree.

Let's give Wilder some credit and view this as a tactical triumph.

The maybe overly solid starting line up made sure we sucked up whatever they had of athleticism, individual skill and potential mental boost from their managerial change. After the break we made a couple of changes, some tweaks, took command of the game and gradually broke them down. They had zero shots. The 2-0 result was about right, considering how the game was.

Great result that. Didn't play brilliantly but never looked liked conceding, so it was important to turn that into three points.

I`m not discrediting Reading. They are good at running and have good physicality in getting on the ball. Think what they lack is vision about what to do with it once they have it.

Think Wilder recognised that hence the changes.

Whether its the lack of atmosphere with stadium being 1/3rd full for at times As i said at HT the Irony of the stadium PA playing come feel the noise. Id love to but stadium nearly empty. Or if we got dragged down to reading dreadful level i still stand by my bottom 3 of Bolton ipswich reading. but it was a bit of a drab performance We shouldve led into HT. but thats down to bad luck & bad decision making, why Washington was trying to get a needless head on it no idea. despite it i knew if we got 1 we get more. but getting 1 was the very tough part. This hasnt be good. Need to up levels v WBA

Wilder said post match once maybe after stoke H ?? "when was the last time we played bad & won" well we have our answer & its a huge victory because if we hadn't got 3pts. i would be very disappointed & huge hit for promotion hopes

An important result.
We’ve played better then tonight and only drawn.

First half we approached it like an away side, seemed more concerned about Reading instead of playing on the front foot (very strange/ unusual watching such a cautious style from us).We also tended to look for the long ball and we quick and direct on the break.
Someone has already mentioned it.....but in the 1st half we played as though Blackwell was manager.

Was concerned at half time but Mark Duffy was introduced and then we got our passing game together.
We were like the old SU second half....wearing them down and you could see the goal was coming.
Missed some relatively easy chances again and against a better team we might have paid the price.
But 2-0 was a fair result in what ended up quite an easy win, think Reading were poor.

Think we played a certain way on purpose in the first half, tactically interesting, putting a team on the back foot since you know they'll have been training all week for overlapping and forward passing.

A positive, decisive half time change with Duffy on (rather than waiting until 65 and not giving him time to get into the game) and we started landing a few blows. A combination of luring them in to a false sense of security and some poor play from Reading, particularly the GK who is a mental (although take note Hendo, let it out for a corner ;)).

Bill doing what Bill does, and a Baldock goal. I said we should have got him for £1m but looks like we've saved some money and got a goal too haha

Keeps us in it. Now we need reinforcements in January.
