Egan's header was going wide.

Shame McG can't finish like that when he's onside.

For me, Lundstram off Sharp on, McG drop back into Duffland.

Edit: Duffy is coming on at halftime. Fair play to Wilder for being decisive.

Hope this kind of away performance isn't going to become a theme this season. Considering defending is one of our weakest points it seems a dangerous game, good job Reading are crap. Really fucking me off the amount we're giving the ball away recently as well. Duffy coming on...hope that signals a more compised 2nd half!

We're allowing them far too much room in our half. It's just asking for a slight mistake and they're in.

Fleck looked like he had lead in his boots on that booking. so slow.

I can see the logic in using the quick ball forwards on occasion but the midfield are treating the ball like a hot potato. Slow down the flanks but a couple of early balls in could have gone anywhere.

McGoldrick looking slow in his decision making tonight.

Seems we’ve deliberately let Reading have the ball 1st half

Because 2nd half it’s back to the old Sheffield United. Duffy is running the show.
We’re looking very dominant but the final ball is just not quite good enough
But you sense a goal is coming sooner or later.

Lundstram is not good enough for a side looking to win. He is okay for a side playing not to lose.

Sharp should start most games. Duffy too.

We're still not making much effort at trying to stop crosses coming in

McGoldrick, clear header 6 yards out...…...MISSED for a change

Oh come on, hardly a guilt-edged chance. There’s plenty of reasons why McGoldrick shouldn’t be the preferred striker, but let’s not exaggerate everything he does.

Sharp’s header just now, and vs Leeds, and vs Wednesday, were all better opportunities – he hasn’t got any of those even on target.

No, he isn't a goalscorer, but it was a good chance, a decent contact on the header and to the side of the keeper and it was a goal.
It's becoming a joke now that I'm laughing about every time he misses.

Ha ha ha, McGoldrick just missed the ball altogether on the six yard line and it's a good job he did because Sharp stuck it in at the back post

If McGoldrick got his head on it he'd have hit the post or the goalie

Again, a cross he couldn’t really get to do why suggest otherwise and continue the exaggeration? It was more of a flick-on opportunity from his positioning – and a good job he didn’t flick it on, because Sharp would have been offside.

We’ve been much better from the changes – more the shape and approach we’ve been used to. Nice to add the 2nd from the corner McGoldrick won.
