So after the disappointment at the manner of defeat last week, we have a decent chance to put things right with the trip to Reading. Not suggesting it will be easy though, and their management changes may see a response despite a new permanent boss yet to be appointed.....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Remain unchanged from last week?

Clarke struggling?

Should things be changed slightly?

We have a decent record down there but don't usually score a lot. Can see that being slightly different today as we'll need 2 to win since McNulty is bound to score. So that's my prediction 2-1 Blades victory and back on track.

Safe journey all.

The easiest away day of the year. Into town for a couple of beers, bus to the ground, West Berkshire Brewery wagon before going in, 3 points, pie shop dinner & beer. Merry Christmas everyone.

Could do with Sharp, Duffy and Fleck putting in the types of performance they put in there earlier in the year.

I think we’ll find a way to get a result today – though obviously without a clean sheet.

I was feeling confident about this one until Reading sacked Clement.

Would like us to turn in a good one as you would think this and Ipswich are the must win games out of the December fixtures.

The first of 2 away games where we have to win by whatever means today. Blow them off the park or scrape 1-0s. Performance irrelevant as long as the points come back from this and Ipswich. Anything less just isn’t good enough for a team with top 6 ambitions.

You forgot to mention the egg on your face tomorrow morning.:(

START WASHINGTON, with Billy up top, Mcgoldrick behind, to make way for Duffy on 70mins!
Freeman returns, the rest, the same.

I'd give Boldock a run but the rest I agree with

Unbeaten in last 7 encounters.
Won last 4 at the Madejski. (Edit. In the league)
We are heavy favourites.
They’ve just sacked their manager.

Do I even need to say it?

Washington getting some good chances now, hopefully some balls over the top will see him get a goal or two.

No Clarke?

Duffy to come on or is he being rested for WBA? Or does he have a knock?

Must win today for me.

As it stands that would take us third but still several points behind the top two, who are starting a break away for the first time this season.

Lose and not only will we remain outside the play offs with some big guns breathing down our necks, but I think some negativity will kick in.

We must be in contention come January to stand a chance of attracting the game changers required.

How many time are Norwich going to score in injury time to nick games? Surely they are going to flop soon.

God I hope Washington scores a brace!!!

It never looks right without Duffy somehow,
You just wonder where the creativity is going to come from

Clarke out (according to TellyTextThingy).

According to the preview on BBC: "Sheffield United could be without strikers Leon Clarke (hip) and Ben Woodburn, who also sustained a knock in training and is unlikely to feature."
Interesting to know that Leon is hip. After all, it's hip to be square.

This isn't the near guaranteed 3pts that i thought now theyve sacked their manager. But we really should win & This is a good run as we play 2 teams away in relegation zone should be 6pts & west brom are difficult but beatable & the way the table is win today & best west brom. We can be 2pts off leeds before they play again
