Had this and the away kit from the same season, yellow shirt with black V's into the chest with black trim. Mine had short sleeves though, probably cheaper. Reminds me of John Matthews!

That actually makes sense with the Sunderland kits they made. Glad no-one knew that on the live video!

The relegation to fourth division Kit.

The Diamond kit,

The Adkins wave the white flag kit.

All three of those can get in the bin.

As it happens I completed the set youve branded 'ugly' today....

Its in pretty poor condition but I don't know how many more of these there are out there, especially ones that don't require a second mortgage to buy...

Looking at those my views are as follows

I like 3 red stripes on the front and sleeves with stripes rather than block colours.

I don't like stripes too thin or too fat and not a fan of the black stripe between the red and the white

Black shorts and black or white socks

Other than that it's all the same to me, although I hate the diamonds, the stupid big stripe down the middle and the inexplicable all white shirt with a bit of red that you couldn't even see from the back of the kop.

I'm a traditionalist

I think it's a pretty simple list of requirements. If I ran the club and some twat turned up with a paisley inspired pattern they'd be sacked.

Not necessarily my favourite, but I'd love a return to this kit from the great era of the late 80's! Superb memories, legendary players/manager and a commentator like no other Daryl Bentley? "It's there" for every goal! Just realised it's, of course, the same as Sir Bob's on profile pic!
