Met Kyle Walker & girlfriend (at the time, no idea if they're still together) at Barnsley Metrodome about 7 years ago.
Met Kyle Naughton on Eccy Road at what was Felicini's restaurant at the time.
Chris Morgan lives about 5 mins walk from my mum & dad and exchange pleasantries whenever we pass.
Met Jag's with Chris Morgan at Thurgoland summer gala years ago when Jag's was still with us and lived in Oxspring at the time.
Met Ched Evans at Ye Olde Mustard Pot in Midhopestones about 7 years ago.
Went to school with Louis Reed & his brother so speak to Louis when I see him.

Not united players but went to school with John Stones at Citeh so speak to him when he's home.
Also, met & spoke to Anthony Joshua about a year ago in Prezzo at Centertainment after he'd been training at the EIS for an upcoming fight at the time

Called into petrol station on City Rd and stood admiring a flashy Aston Martin when Kyle Naughton walks over to me and asks me if I own the Aston. I said do I look like I own an Aston Martin to which he say's oh sorry. That's my ride over there pointing to a Fiat Doblo van

We were holidaying on the Algarve in the summer of 1993 and we went for a family meal in a restaurant by the Marina. Alan Cork was in the restaurant with his family and we got talking - told him we were Blades and had seen him score his goal at Wembley in the Steel City semi final. He was a really nice guy and we ended up having a photo taken together with our two sons, who are both called Jack. When we got back home, I had the photos developed and sent the one of us to the Lane. Soon after it was returned in the post with a message and autograph from Corky. Wonder what happened to Jack Cork?

Hi Chaps I don't post much because i'm shit at spelling, But anyway a while back I lived in a pub in Holmesfield. One early evening I was sat upstairs when I heard a car alarm go off, A few cars had been broke in recently in the car park, I jumped up went to the window to see a low life ragging the stereo out of a Bmw. I shouted at the bloke and picked up an ornament that was on the window cill and threw it at him. It missed him but sadly hit the bmw. Anyway I went downstairs to ask who owned a Bmw parked outside to find out it belonged to petr kachuro who was having a beer.

Only last Sunday I saw Paul Coutts (he who never gives the ball away) in the M&S food shop thingy on Eccy Road.

He was with his wife and twin daughters and given this chance of a lifetime I decided to follow him - I remained a stealthy 3 shopping trolley lengths behind him at all times and took the opportunity to buy exactly the same items as him.

Well what a story I had to tell on arriving home and unpacking the weekly groceries - mind you I did get some strange looks & had a bit of explaining to do when I unpacked a multi pack of pampers training pants & several jars of Heinz baby food (chicken casserole & macaroni chees) especially given my kids are 24 & 16.

A good story. I hope that first sentence is not true. Don't be put off posting - there isn't a single poster on here that hasn't made howlers with spelling. My worst was getting the name of a well-known former manager wrong in the title of a thread I started.:(

Saw Darius Henderson in Donny years back and he denied it was him - I said that I was a Blade and that I knew exactly who he was but he just denied it.
Funny that pretending to be anonymous was something he was quite adept at on the pitch too.

If ever a story served to confirm my opinion of a footballer....

Bumped into plenty of blades players down town over the years, Berlins and Europa used to be a popular haunt, as did the Leadmill on a Wednesday night.

Best was going to the opening of a bar in Donny, randomly Howard Kendall was there, he was back at Everton, really nice guy and spoke very highly of us.

Mate also got married and has his wedding reception at the Lane, we wondered over to the John St stand as there was a rumour some of the players were over there, ended up at Derek French's wedding party with Bassett and most of the squad from a few years earlier. We'd just appointed Bruce as manager so must have been 1998 ish.

I once gave Neil Warnock a pep talk on water coolers one pre season. I was a spotty 16 year old working in a DIY store. Also before a game against QPR Kieth curle took a picture of me and Warnock before the QPR side set off to Bramall Lane, Had a game of snooker with Alan Quinn, a number of old blades players have used my local pub which I’ll not name as the current manager still uses it and has done for a few years.

Tell us, tell us.

Tell us, tell us.

I’d love to tell but he seems quite at home coming in. Although the landlord and and landlady might appreciate 4,000 extra customers at once I don’t think Mr Wilder would !! When I was just a kid the full team used to come in a lot and obviously it still holds special memories for them because quite a few still pop in once in a blue moon

I was on a night out in Leeds some years ago and towards the end of the night we were in The Piano Bar and I saw this bloke I recognised. I was a bit pissed, but he was so familiar to me, I was certain he must be an acquaintance. I walked towards him but luckily as I got about four foot away and suddenly realised it was Brian Deane, who doesn’t know me from Adam.
I didn’t speak to him, in fact Im not sure I could’ve spoken to anyone by then

How good was John Stones when you were at school compared to everyone else?

Genuinely curious. Obviously I assume he was better, but one of my mates still claims he was just as good as former schoolmate Michael Carrick!

He was by far the best in the year and we did have talented players in our year and school in general. I played centreback both with and against him and his timing, positioning and movement was unreal. Great to partner but difficult to defend against. Genuine athlete irrespective of the sport. HIs biggest asset i think was timing and pace. When defending he'd be in the right place at the right time to cut everything out. With space in front, he'd be able to ghost past anyone that tried to tackle him.
