When anyone mentions Danny Webber I always have flashbacks to the one on one with the keeper late in the game versus Wigan.

Instead of blasting it, he tried a clever cheeky little chip over the outcomimg keeper.
All of a sudden everything went into slow motion. The ball was slowly going towards the corner....the crowd were cheering...surely it’s a goal....but no, it hits the inside of the post and.........cruelly roles along the goal line but wait......there’s a Blades player sprinting in to knock it into an empty net.....we’re going to score yeh.....but their defender is also sprinting back and just managers to get his boot to the ball a split second before our player meaning Wigan scrape it clear off the line.

At that point I knew we were fated to be cruelly relegated from the Premier League.

TBF to Leon K even present/recent/ancient players hate them. I give you Westwood, and Hirst Jnr and Hirst senior as examples but there are probably many more. UTB

I remember him scoring against us after we had sold him to (Blackburn ? ) in front of the Kop and he celebrated the Kop chanted "you fat bastard" he miss heard the word fat for black he said something about racist comments later and I wished I could have made him aware, not saying it was right but not as bad as he thought this I think could well be the reason.

I was there when Blake scored against us and I think it was for Bolton. I can't remember the chant but he did seem to get a lot of stick but I don't recall it been racist. He was sold by Kendall and reportedly didn't want to go so I have some sympathy with him on that score but he seems very bitter now against us. Shame because he was a decent player for us.

If I remember right he was our top scorer when Kendall took over. He played him for the first 45 minutes of his first game in charge then that was it. Can't blame him for being bitter about that.
