Ramsdale

He was ok, the win was more down to the defence than him as they hardly gave Man U a chance in front of goal.

Some good positives with how he claimed the ball but still dropped one and on another day the ref wouldn’t have come to his rescue.

Don’t want to knock him too much cause it’s a good win, but I think the result is clouding some people’s judgement on how good he was. A 6 or 7 out of 10 for me, like I say he was ok.
I think that's a more balanced view. I've studied the game more and I saw some good and again some poor keeping.
Good
1st half some good sweeping up and 2nd half took those high crosses really well
Not good
1st half came out and got caught in no man's land for the Greenwood through ball
Should have punched on Maguire challenge and goal should have stood
On the Maguire goal, he took a step to his right and was almost stood next to Norwood. This left a massive gap for Maguire to head into, if he'd have been more central he may have saved it.
So for me, an improvement but still making basic errors.

Ok respect your opinion alcoblade, maybe this "run" we are on will be the turning point for him and the team. Lets hope so.
We've seen with half of the team how much confidence affects things. Fingers crossed for Ramsdale.

I am more interested in who he smiles at when he catches a ball and falls on it ... either way he pisses me off.

1) If it's our player - you caught a ball - this is a basic necessity of a keeper
2) If it's their player - stop showing off Karma is a bitch.

Having watched the replays a few times (and from the goalkeeper union) the Maguire incident looked like a foul as Ramsdale went to catch the ball so it fell in his favour if he went to punch it and missed it I don't think we would have got the decision - De Gea went to punch (I would have preferred the one handed punch to the ball and the one on the back of Maguires head which used to work when I was a lad). With regards the goal he was out of position as he took a step towards the front post and then failed to adjust back to the middle of the goal. Don't get me wrong it would have been an excellent save but the header was from 12 yards out and at least a yard inside the post (akin to a penalty save). The catches in the second half showed what confidence can do as he caught the ball at the highest point and had an excellent starting position. The other thing of note was the save low down to his legs, I have commented on this before as been one of the hardest things to do as a goalkeeper as it's quite easy to fling yourself sidewards but very difficult to not only get your legs out of the way but to try and beat gravity to get down as fast as you can. I had a season which started with a bit of duff luck and then a lack of form/confidence and it did me for a season so I virtually wrote off the Saturdays (as I got dropped) and I ended up getting a few kickings on the likes of concord park on Sunday mornings but to be honest it put hairs on my chest and as a youngster I handed a few kickings out as well. As a keeper confidence/self belief is key and hopefully Ramsdale is staring to find his.

I'm fairly sure their discussion boards will be........discussing their players, without fear that the poor darlings will somehow get wind and collapse in form as a result. :)
Nothing up with constructive criticism, it’s the personal, spiteful, hateful, bed wetting keyboard warriors that are the problem.

Hopefully Dazza is working on him. Catching technique, tactical drills, when to punch, feet position etc etc.

Didn't put a foot wrong today. Some great saves in there and he deserved a clean sheet for that performance.

Just a shame his defence laid down the red carpet for Citehs goal. So fucking frustrating. We were well in that game otherwise.

Fantastic performance second half. But too easy for Maguire to beat him for their disallowed goal. Has to be stronger there. I don’t think it was a foul.
Me and the ref did

Maguire knew what he was doing.
This he wasn't looking at the keeper nonsense is bull shit. It's a professional game ploy

He is coming good. Well done lad. Good all round performance, pity about their goal early on but not Rammers fault.

So we're just going to ignore his dodgy positioning and awful distribution because he made a few routine saves today? Right, okay then 😬

I wouldn't say he was faultless today, the goal wasn't perfect and he did fumble one that he collected low down. Much more reassuring though, and that save at the end was top, top drawer.

No we're not going to ignore his earlier failings, just like I won't yours, some of the shite you post is laughable. Anyway, I digress, what we will do with Rammers is acknowledge a good performance against a world class team. If any young player in a Blades team shows improvement from past blips, they'll always get my support in trying to help build their confidence.

Made a great save and another decent one earlier on. Pleased for him. Need to build off of this now and keep his concentration.

So you consider making routine saves but having consistently poor distribution a "good performance"?
