I watched the game and the supporters acted like supporters do when your team is battering the opposition, they cheered and they sang. Rammers made a couple of decent takes and a reflex save from a deflected shot that was quite impressive. Wasn’t spectacular, didn’t need to be, but looked solid enough and if I was a gooner, I’d have been quite pleased about his performance. As a Blade, I did feel a bit like you do when you see an ex and she’s looking good.

Not if we wanted to extract maximum value.

Out of the England team now, and won't have a chance to be back in it unless Leno buggers off, even then he'll be behind Pickford, Pope and Henderson, so he'll need injuries.

Maintain it doesn't really matter if we just have an OK keeper rather than a good or better one, if we're not getting ourselves sorted in midfield we're fucked anyway, even the best keepers concede if the rest of the team isn't up to it, like Henderson did for us once JOC got crocked. Not having a midfield or left side of defence will put huge pressure on whoever is between the sticks.

Surely we got a bit of money for him starting these past 2 games for England? You’d hope so anyway. With Henderson going for £20m and us already having Wes, I’ve got to hold my hands up and say very good business by the club (very rare to say with this club)… still doesn’t make up for the fact we spent around £30m on mcburnie and mousset but I’m not sure anything will make up for that
