Shoot from any distance, doesn't need to be right in the corner, doesn't need to be hit particularly hard. 75% chance it goes past Ramsdale...
Vindicated, on all points, Wait til he has played the whole season Ramsdale will be a great keeper in the premier league

Poor lad , player of season for boremuff goes down , player of season of us ................

If we keep him, I expect him to be the best keeper in the championship.

Can we take a second to appreciate the new Ramsdale bowling the ball out strategy. Worked really well yesterday. As a former keeper, unless you're really good at passing it tends to be a much better way of distributing the ball quickly, especially on slick surfaces.

I am sitting here with a huge dish of himble pie.
Ramsdale has transformed into our player of the year over the past 6 months. Whoever steals him from us will be very fortunate.

i really hope he stays always been a fan of his from u18 days but if the worst happens we should be looking at nothing less than 25m

And as another former keeper, once you get confident, you can throw it accurately to players at about the half way line. Catch a cross or a corner, and immediately look for a wide player on the opposite side of the field for a quick throw out. Even at the modest level I played, you can get a good counter attack going that way.

Very impressive interview from a 22 year old having such a catastrophic season for his team.
Clearly very upset, perhaps some of the more senior heroes could learn from the responsibility and bravery he is showing.
Maybe supporters rating performances as 1 and 2 is contributing to the destruction of player confidence:

Couldnt agree more - Fantastic, honest, passionate and emotional interview. I have been critical of his early season performances (as I’m sure he has been himself ) but never of him personally.
He has really recently -in last few months - justified why we spent so much on him and much credit has to go to him for resilience and improving his form - makes me smile when he talks about the young lad ‘Jebbo’ when he is only 22 himself. Well done “old man” you deserve huge applause when fans finally get back to BDTBL.

He’s been the best of a terrible bunch (and only recently) ....I can’t forget the inadequate start to his blades career whereby his displays were nothing short of shambolic....he’s got a long way to go to make up for this and let’s see how his form is over an extended period....if somebody offered us our money back now then we ought to snatch their hands off...

Now pretty much bang in the middle of the Xga stats for the league with about 0. Saved as many as he should have (according to one particular stat) as a PL 'keeper. See my earlier posts in this to see how you are wrong re his "inadequate start"

That's a clear change of emphasis from Heckingbottom compared to Wilder. Wilder wanted his keepers to get the ball as far away from their goal as possible.

May i just say if you are told by the manager go LONG DO NOT PASS IT OUT!! YOU GO LONG! However if the New manager says you are a professional YOU make the decision, then you decide! Until we or you play at that level we can only surmise at what the mind set is.
Until

I posted on here a few weeks ago that he looked terrified, and he really did.

But it's a heartening part of a shit season the improvement he has shown. Proper character and mental strength.

Well done Aaron, keep it up lad.

great interview and think he hit the nail on the head about half way through you just cant give the ball away in the premier league like weve done this season so much quality that you get punished nearly every time but that wont be the case in the championship big difference in quality between the 2 leagues

His displays were not ‘shambolic’

He’s already made up for a shaky start.

We should not sell him.

If we do we should be asking for much more than just our money back.

I know I’m a clapper and all that but can we not take some time to credit a player where credit is due.

It's not just giving the ball away, against Palace we repeatedly gave the ball away under minimal pressure by misplacing 15 yard ground passes from the defence into the midfield. Bryan and Egan were particularly guilty of it. That's unforgivable at any level, let alone the top flight.

weve done it all season im afraid and you get punished mercilessly in the premier league but we just havent got the players especially in midfield to play this way

Hell of a turnaround for the lad.

I hope he remembers his own strength of character when he has any set backs in the future (which happen to absolutely every keeper).
