HE is wank .Cant hold a ball, never comes for catches ,shocking reflexes , parry's the softest of shots back into the danger area , dives full length and stays in the same spot, doesn't command his box, his distribution is rubbish . No i really aint, we have played well the last 6 gsmes, its a no win situation, we play to our potential we would make a great fist of the season, have some respect, with heads held high n come back stronger.!!

As much as the partisanship on this issue is not tiring (at all) I really struggle to subscribe to an opinion that he is in any way a good keeper at this stage - which is not to say he won’t be in 5 or even 10 years.
Those saying he had a good game tonight have, in my opinion, allowed their standards to drop so low that tonight appeared a good game. Actually, I don’t think it was, and if Henderson had put in that performance we’d have said he looked a bit shaky tonight.

I don’t dispute that confidence is playing a factor here, but he does nothing with any conviction. His kicking is woeful (as soon as someone runs at him he shits it and kicks it into touch), he palms everything out into a danger area and is yet to really make any saves that you wouldn’t expect even an average keeper to make.

who knows, the kid might be a good keeper in a number of years but he just is not ready yet. Which is worrying as we paid £18 for the guy. Used to say ‘well he’s a bit dodgy, but he’s certainly not the reason we’re in this position’ which remains true to this day, but in the great mould of Sir Brailsford it’s about marginal gains. Would another keeper have kept us up? No. Would we have more points and a more confident defence with another keeper? I certainly think so.

To be honest i am not a serial player slagger until today i have been sticking for Norwood but quite simply Ramshakle is pants. It's not just a one match knee jerk comment it,s just a season long fact he could come good but 18 mill should buy the finished article. Yeah and Sam Johnstone has made the most saves in the prem, wonder why rhat might be? Stats are often misleading - are you saying you’d pick ramsdale over 10 of the other starting keepers in the prem? If so, name them! Because he’s the worst for me.

Whatever stats are picked, surely there’s no sensible suggestion that he would be in the top ten keepers in the division?

He’d be available this summer, and I can all but guarantee that no premier league clubs will come in for him.

I’m not at all sure he’s even ready for the championship yet. But that said, he’s done “okay” for the last 5-6 matches.

You joining the forum coincided with his signing a contract here, you left when he left for Bournemouth, and you returned when he returned. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to put the pieces together.

Now when you tell your boy how you got on on here, tell him you learned that he needs to spend an extra hour a day with the coaches coming out to catch the ball, an extra hour a day beating shots away to where they can do no harm, and an extra hour a day kicking it. A few months of that and he might be on the way to being a decent championship goalie which is what we will be needing next year.

Clearly if stats are correct Ramsdale is a top 10 premiership keeper not even the most Bladey Blade would agree with that statistic , stats don't tell you about the crosses he should have come for, the balls he drops , the pace of the shots he lets in . I have been to over 100 football grounds all watching the Blades I did not miss a game home and away for 7 years in one spell ( i had no option Shred was my shop steward ) . 57 posts in two years hardly makes me a key board warrior you can make statistics support any narrative but we judge football on what we perceive and i perceive i am a real Blades supporter and Ramsdale at the moment is wank .

Might have not been at fault vs West Ham but surely its not just me that feels on edge when the ball goes near Ramsdale? I never feel like hes ever going to save a pen and most shots he palms out softly to the danger area.

Thought he played well against wet sham and he's been fine the last few games. He's not the best keepers in the league, but over the last month he's been more or less average.

A lot of folk seem to have rose tinted specs. Henderson was one of the best shot stoppers around. However, he also made some howlers (Liverpool last season), didn't go for many crosses and his distribution was even more woeful than Rammers.

And after lockdown Henderson was bang Average ! Maybe it had a bitto do with the fact the defence was pretty much as bad as this season due to injuries, confidence etc ? Ramsdale has been hung out to dry as THE reason and that’s rubbish ! Not for one minute am I saying he hasn’t made mistakes or is blameless . He has been part of the problem not THE problem. I believe behind the pre lockdown defence he would have been fine! Not as good as some but fine !

I'd say he's the 2nd worst keeper in the Premier league with the lad in goal for Leeds being worse.

Ramsdale reminds me very much of George Long, as with Long he makes saves you would expect a decent keeper to make, yet he very rarely comes for crosses, on the odd occasion he does he usually drops them and shots seem to go in which leave you wondering if a better keeper would have saved them, mainly shots from distance or headers that seem to float in.

If you went through every goal hes conceded this season there are loads which leave you thinking he should have saved that... But that said its the same with pickford at Everton and he's getting picked for England

It stripped cash away from other areas which needed strengthening, primarily midfield and LCB. Granted the fee isn't his fault, but the performances are, and you can see the defence don't trust him. Should have gone for Foster at Watford.
