That a lot of PL teams like Everton are skint? Because if they weren't they would be sniffing around players like Maguire and Lowton. I think like jags players would love to join a club like Everton not huge but certainly not small good long serving manager but not massive expectations. I don't think maguire or Lowton will be top 4 standard for quite a while but not in the to distant future they should be able to hold there own in the prem just like jags. I think that even though we are skint the middle prem clubs are to so hopefully we can hang on to them.

Don't think either of them are remotely close to that level Dave. Get promoted and that will take out where the real danger lies - Championship clubs.

id be more worried about upper level championship clubs tbh.
teams like west ham etc tho maybe teams like QPR, Norwich etc might, with the prem cash injection come sniffing round around the jan transfer window if these players are still doing well and they are looking to consolidate.

Not sure myself i didn't think kyles were ready, however PL clubs like everton used to buy for the future not for now.

If they wanted these players, they'd pick them up with no issues.
You don't think we'd block say a £1 million move for any of our players do you?

There is an interesting stat knocking about that premiership clubs have not spent over £5 mill on players over 24 this summer. They are all going for youth!

Jose Enrique is 25
Stewart Downing is 27
That's just 2 off the top of my head.

Edit: Charlie Adam too, 25....
Charles N'Zogbia, 25....

Edit again: Gael Clichy 25

For me, Lowton is nowhere near good enough for the top division, especially at full back.

He is fantastic going forward, but there's alot to work on for a player at 22 years old in my opinion. I think he'd be better in a more advanced position.

Harry Maguire has the makings of a quality centre half, and at 18 is alot more likely to be snapped up. He might not be the quickest but he reads the game so well for a player so young. Obviously he still has a fair bit of his game to work on but that comes with the experience of playing first team football and making mistakes that will no doubt happen. Harder games like last night can only help his development, and playing against various styles of striker this season will help him no end.

I think you're spot on Daz. I think with once he's fit, Parrino will be put in at Right back and Lowton moved forward to the right of midfield.

Totally agree - both are promising but neither currently looks anywhere near good enough for the Prem. Kyle Walker is a class above them both in my opinion.
