R we disliked that much or have it got it wrong?

Picked up the NOTW yesterday and expected to see at least 2 if not 3 of our players in the team of the day (Lowton, quinn and monty). Now when i ask have i got it wrong? Is the team of the day for 3pm kick off's only? As there was also no Southampton players in the league 1 team.

If it is all day i guess our performance and victory went unnoticed.

I also noticed that our ratings were all average mostly 6 some 5's and maybe a 7 in there.

To be fair, I never pay attention to stuff like that, because it seems (to me) that the people who report, rarely go to the games and just pick up on other reports from like the BBC or something.

Long may they write us off - works in our favour for the scrap to come. Would be a magnificent effort from the players if they can muster the challenge and complete the task.

Quinny has been excellent of late - back to his old prem performances.
Monty has made us much more difficult to beat as well. Hope his recovery continues now we have an international break.

Hope we catch QPR on an off day next game - must keep unchanged starting 11 (even though Riise is quality) for that game if everyone is fit. Keep it tight then Riise to come on and set up the winner.

We are disliked. We richly deserve it too, for our unswerving dedication to anti-football over many years.

No-one disliked John Harris' team. We won promotion and topped the First Division for a quarter of a season and did it with proper football. We are now regarded as dour, talentless scrappers and plodders. Not one neutral would open their curtains if we were playing in their back garden. That's the legacy of the Upanatem style many of you love so much. That and relegation, of course.

If I were not a Blade I would despise us!

Disliked ?

There is little doubt that we are disliked quite intensely. In evidence I offer this story from a few years back when I was a guest at one of my companies Conference centres at Daventry.

Quite unknown to us,it was the habit of a number of league referees to meet there midweek.They were man to man the most arrogant bunch of twats that we had ever experienced.

That evening at the bar, the refs were in full cry .The subject - Neil Warnock,Sheffield Utd and what was then the recent battle of Bramall Lane.They loathed us. It was vitrolic hatred.For legal reasons,you wouldnt be allowed to name names on here,but just think who might have been prominent at the time and you'd be getting warm.

Even though Neil's far far away and the events of that March afternoon is ancient history,we still get a raw deal from the man in the middle,as those who were at Watford will confirm. Journalists are still as lazy in slagging us off and recycling the same old crap about us,as a certain "Journalist of the year" has done AGAIN.

So,did the shit stick and are we disliked by everybody?
