We also won the last FA Cup Final before World War One, meaning only Portsmouth were FA Cup holders for longer (during World War Two).

do we have to play the game seeing as both teams are out
cant we agree to not bother

thats the trouble with this format
what are dull inane games already in a no mark competition become ultra meaningless

GOAL - v Millwall (a) 27.11.76. Hamilton went on a solo run, Hamson took the ball and fed Woodward with a neat square pass and the United skipper hit the ball with the outside of his right foot. Millwall goalkeeper Johns could only stand and watch as this devilish shot curled into the top corner of the net.
I was sitting in a stand full of Millwall supporters. Even though in those days the hooligans usually occupied the standing areas I quickly realised that this was not a goal to celebrate safely however good it was.

The day after we drew 3-3 with Grimsby in the League Cup on 12th October 1982, the Ford Sierra was launched in Europe, replacing the Ford Cortina......... a sad day for us all.

It didn't last long though because we won the 2nd leg 5-1!

That's about how long a ford Sierra lasted

This game could go down in history. Given the trouble at the pre season friendly, this could be the first game where the Police out number supporters :)
