Price him high, and either

a) we get a fair price,

or

b) we get to keep him.

By all accounts, he's shown today he can still do it at this level like he did for Roth. Could be a massive (lolz) player for us this season.

Just don't let him go on the cheap just to get rid.

I'd prefer it to be Monty and Evans off the wage bill first (obvisouly this one is out of our hands for now.)

I'd like to see Ched drummed out of the club as soon as possible.

I'm sure there must be a way we can sack him?

Agreed. This new lad Quinn is so much better than his lookalike Elpiton. Maybe it was the former semi-pro, non-league, reserve keeper to blame all along?

Playing him in the centre of midfield in a long ball team nearly ruined him.

Bit harsh, innocent until proven guilty and all that.

We could suspend him until the court case is over, but would still have to pay him. If he is found guilty, we could then sack him.

Never mind his court case, we need shut of him.

But does it really make sense to sack the guy now when

(a) he could sue us for his loss of earnings; and
(b) if he is found not guilty we can get a fee for him in a few months' time.

From United's point of view the best outcome is that he is found NG asap, then we can get rid and get some money for him.

Wouldn't disagree with a word of that.

I'd just add that if I was employing someone who under-performed so extravagantly, I'd like to have some form of sanction to take. But footballers aren't normal employees on normal contracts...

His behaviour, application, attendance, performance has been poor since he has been at the Lane.

If i performed the same in my place of work, i would expect to get sacked or subjected to disciplinary procedures. Why can't it work the same.

If he is guilty then we have wasted another 3 or 4 months of paying his wages (£300-400k), and won't get a fee for him.

I can seriously see Ched on the footballing scrapheap in 3 or 4 years time living a nice lifestyle on the back of the mugs who have paid his exhorbitant wages for the last years.

In terms of behaviour and application, I don't know what you work as at the moment Brownie, but imagine you were a mechanic and you were never provided with the right tools to get the job done, I'm sure your behaviour and application would suffer

If he's done the crime he committed, then he should never play the game again. But until then, he's innocent in my eyes.

Quinn a bit like Samir Nasri today one might say ......

Quinny had a good game today, he was also very pleased with the result... Kissing the badge and punching the air.

I thought he looked gutted at the end when he was kissing the shirt and saying something. Last game possibly? I hope not, he was excellent today.

Did very very well for the second goal.

Keeping Quinn could be the difference between promotion or not

Was that you? Like I've said before, irony/sarcasm call it what you will, is only effective if people recognise it for what it is. I just thought you were raving. :)

Hope he hasn't put himself in the shop window today. Outstanding performance!

I agree, Quinn was very good today and will prove to be too good for this level. I'd love him to stay but would happily let Monty leave, Doyle was very comfortable today.

One might draw similarities with my poetic, satirical writing and that intelligent, atriculate chap on Praise and Grumble tonight .......

but seriously: surely anyone who witnessed Cesswell's goal (made by Quinn's brilliance) today must have seen parallels with the way Nasri held up the ball, waited for the opportune moment and layed an exquisite pass to Arshavin (for Arsenals winner against Barca last season)

but oh contraire North Yorks: the brilliance of great writers is that you do not always know what tey are talking about, don't get the exact message, things are left open to interpretation and what is said/written could have multiple meanings. For example was Steven Patrick Morrisey singing about gay sex or did he just like the upholstery in the car?

Thnk god for Danny and the total football you've been demanding.

I can only imagine your delight with a spine of Maguire, Collins, Monty, Doyle and Cresswell, with a sprinlking of Elpiton....:D

It's a good job we won, I have to say.
