Why do players say this bollocks? yes he has been here 9 year but to say that while in the same section say you want to leave, absolute madness.

It's not a contradiction. It's perfectly possible to be a fan of a team (hope that they win football matches, follow them before/after a spell there), yet take the chance to move on for career/money reasons.

Quinn looked so promising at one point, but in truth has been bloody awful for the last several seasons. Yes, last year he was slighlty less shit, but for a midfielder who is constantly picked, does not score enough or get many assists.
As far as allegiance goes, he showed a lot of spirit at Reading away with the fans (kissing the badge etc) but I am not naive enough to believe footballers would stick around in a shithead league when they dont have too.
