After we brought the first set of subs on, I was starting to think that Wilder may have played a blinder because in that short spell and up to them scoring, we were on the up then and they looked like they'd shot they're bolt. I genuinely thought we could even go on and win it at that stage, let's face it, for all their huffing and puffing, Cooper had only had on real save to make with around 20 to go. We could have been talking about a point or more and a perfect away performance but once that goal went in, we knew deep down that we hadn't got the artillery to recover it.
Before anybody says 'Ah but we wouldn't have deserved it', just think back a year or two when we were all over them at the Lane but couldn't score, then Hendo messed up in added time and gave them the win. They didn't give a shit and neither would we have. Fine margins.
