Good morning Blades,

I’m making this trip to QPR and wondered what pubs most Blades will be heading to?

Before I’ve gone to Shepherds Bush but not sure if that’s any good anymore?!

Cheers
UTB

I think the majority will be in Belushi's or the Wetherspoons in the shopping precinct in Shepherds Bush. Heard there's no pubs around the ground but i'd imagine they would be home fans only anyway. The Football Ground Guide reckons away fans tend to end up in Shepherds Bush......

For the Fa Cup game on Sunday a few seasons ago we were not allowed into the Wetherspoons in the shopping precinct. You needed to show a home ticket. Last few times I've been to QPR it has been nearly impossible to get into any of the pubs around Shepherd's Bush. Which is a shame as years ago it was a good away day for pre match drinking.

My advice is to head for Ealing (get tube to Ealing Broadway). No point going to Shepherds Bush aspubs wont admit away fans

You usually find a few pubs on the Shitehawk Road that allow well behaved visiting fans in. A favourite of mine is The Crown & Sceptre on Melinda Road about ten minutes walk from the ground.

When we played them in the Cup Wetherspoons refused us entry, despite John Garrets best attempts :)

Pubs near the ground are home fans only. We ended up in the bar of a hotel on a side street. They were fine with us.

We went in the Sindercombe last year and it was noisily rammed with blades with colours but thought the beer was pricey. Beforehand I'd been in the weatherspoons on shepherds bush green and had no probs getting in 3 hours before kick off but heard they stopped letting in blades just after. This Saturday we might try the Stewart Arms instead, traditional pub with a sitty out bit, if its a bad choice it was nice knowing you.

Looks like the London Blades will be meeting up at Sindercombe Social on Goldhawk Road. Nice big pub on a main road, plenty of choice for your beer, near to 3 separate tube stations, a 10 minute walk from't ground, and they let you wear away colours (I think). What's not to like?
Is the sindercombe within walking distance from wood lane tube station,I'll have my 8yr old boy in tow so dont really want to be walking miles for a gargle with fellow blades.

Tis where I met raul for the first time *sigh*

The evening didn't improve at the match, either ;)

My advice is to just take some diluted TCP in a hip flask. Then you'll be reight.

You'd be best off staying on two more stops to Goldhawk Road Station, that's closer to that pub. But watch this space, we might be in another pub.

Its a shame if they have stopped away fans supping round shepheards bush.. always popped into oneils for last ens before walking up to ground!

The Sindercombe is what used to be O’Neills.

hammersmith is far better for drinking than sheperds bush
5mins away on tube

Prick or cunt this week-end, or have you a none gender specific persona for away trips as well?
I've had a yellow card off foxy for my views over the weekend,so I'm on best behaviour from now on,you never know i might bump into raul while me and my lad are down there and i will treat him to pint to apologise for my over the top industrial language towards him,all blades aren't we!

Water/bridge Corky. Nothing counts after closing time....

Is the General Smuts still there?

At the 2-0 Booker goal in front of us game, my mate - a tight fucker - got taken in by what can only be described as an old tramp, telling him he was a sports reporter for the Sunday People and could get Cup Final tickets. My mate, normally quite Street wise bought him drinks (until we left for the match) when he said he'd get him two final tickets. Halves turned into whiskies and when the old sod went to the pub payphone and loudly ordered two tickets to be sent to my mates address. The whiskies then turned into doubles and I had to walk away tears of laughter rolling down my face.

He watched the final at home.

:)

Have you ever had to go to the doctors for your 'friend' when he has had some embarassing STD?

Come on Sean Thornton, you can't kid a kidder....

Ah righto! Think last time i went was when Blackwell had just took over the reigns from Robson and we drew 1-1.. must have been 10 year ago!

Need to pull my finger out and re-visit it with my lad as hes never been!

:)

No, it genuinely was a mate. He's no longer with us sadly but it was the only time I ever saw him taken around the corner.

I'll be thirsty again if you're buying again....
Not going this time, Raulers.

I've not seen us win, live, since away at Leeds on October 31st 2017
Been to about 12-15 games since and only seen a few draws and defeats.
I'm beginning to think it's me :(

We'll be on Kaz's coach and i'm 99% sure he said that's where we'll be going (the Wetherspoons pub in the precinct). I'll message him beforehand to see if he's checked we'll be welcome, in light of what you have said.........

It's the one at the shopping centre.
