This is why we lose as soon as we go a goal down, we are done - we are incapable of doing this. Yet when we're 1 goal up we look like we're hanging on for dear life.

Such a weird team, and the management have to do more to change this.

It's every single time we are chasing, we look fucking hopeless.

It was the reaction of the players to the goals as well. Tanganga throwing up his hands despite being stood off the player. Peck throwing up his hands despite letting the cross in for the second goal. We’re a young team and it shows in our naivety in situations. And our defenders don’t half love to stand off.

Plus no tactical nouse in the management team. Soumare was poor, but stays on until 72 minutes. They score the second and we revert to passing it across the back side to side with no urgency as if we are winning. Campbell comes on after 76 minutes and we look sharper and a potential penalty occurs, why not 15 minutes earlier? To cap it all he brings Chong on, what for I ask, he offers nothing.
Could have swopped Hamer and Soumare once they got the second goal, but no, let’s waste 15-20 minutes passing it about at the back achieving nothing. They defended well, held firm in midfield and took their chances. We defended poorly, carried Soumare in midfield and took one of numerous good chances.

Wilder needs to get a tactician in, someone who can change things round, format, style of play etc. Once they went two up FL made them drop deeper, plus made five substitutions.

Same problem as last season. There's no point raising Selles in this one.

The 2016+ team was incredibly fit and mentally strong.

The last 2 seasons and PO final are hard evidence that we're miles off that.

Questions - why is it now acceptable to so many and can Wilder change it?

Current evidence suggests not.

Thought Soumare had one of his better games and was far from poor last night

He wasn't poor, he had a good game. People have pre conceptions on Soumare I'm sure they don't actually watch him.

I agree with the rest.

A number of times Soumare misplaced his pass. He might look lively, but the end product is lacking. JR made a difference, allowed Peck to move forward. But the change should have come earlier once they sat back.

The soft underbelly has been there all season. As soon as Coventry scored we seemed to physically and mentally shrink and badly lacked determination to fight a way to a result.
To have any chance next season we need more steel in the team.
