Going home after a match recently and Wilder was doing his interview he referred to coutts as coutsy, Fleck as flecky and Duffy as, you guessed it, duffs! Definitely a football thingy
'Big Hans'?
Chuck Berry's "Johnn B Goode" doesn't quite have the same ring does it?![]()
Is it just me who can't stand these songs? I mean come on "Johnny Fleck"!
Some people think adding a "y" on the end of someone's name is a bit matey, friendly, endearing etc.
It would be awkward with Duffyy, Husseyy, Laffertyy, Laveryy
Best example though is the Fast Show's Ron Manager on Ryan Giggs "Cor, Ryan Giggs, you know? Giggsy, isn't it? Mmm? Giggsy-wiggsy? Mmm? Oh! Ryan-y Giggsy-wiggsy. Isn't it? You know, marvellous."![]()
It`s great to come from Orkshire.
The billybladesterWhat really boils my piss more though is putting "The" before someone's name and "ster" after.
As in if someone had the surname Smith they would become "The Smithster" Wtf is that all about?
What would Mr Foster become? The Fosterster? Fuck off.
It just screams out "I'm a nob and have an unhealthy yearning to be liked"
