Kieron overhits his pass down to the goal line which Cranie stretches to reach and manages a brilliant cut back high cross.

Dowell rises to the ball and loops his header in at the far post.

20 seconds from Goldie’s first touch to the ball in the net.

Goal created by CRAK brilliant tactics to produce overloads and Cranie’s energy, desire and ability.

Probably the first assist in his career.

One of the highlights of the season for me.

It was a joy to watch. After all the years of watching us score very few goals away from home and when we did they were some fairly average/scruffy ones.

To finally witness free flowing passing moves ending in a quality finish, well it was just awesome.

The celebrations of the manager, the players and the fans at the end of the match was pretty special as well.

Like I said in a post a while back, I just had a feeling about winning at WB.

I'm starting to believe.

It could have only have been bettered if it was Stevens arriving in the box from left-centre back to nod the ball home

Then you stay in Sunday to watch 2 hyped up games . Man Utd v Liverpool and Chelsea Man City and think together both games weren't a quarter as good as watching us. Bored shitless watching 4 of the supposed creme de la cream.

I did the same on Sunday - but gave up with the Prem cream after 10 mins of the Chelsea game. I then put the iFollow replay of our game on the box - paused it, slo-mo’d it, replayed it for a really happy 2 hours, and then watched the Chelsea- Citeh penalties when my son texted me that it had got that far!

I had hospitality at the Hawthorns on Saturday as a Xmas present - got pissed - sang in their area - argued with them - hugged them at the end and loved every minute. I’ve been going to the Lane for nearly 48 years, season ticket by the dugouts and this is as good as when I started.

I’d like to go up, as long as we don’t change. and we don’t bet the farm on staying up.

This season I've been keeping a note of all the games I've attended or watched, this season so far I've attended or watched 155 football matches so I'm very aware of how lucky I am to have this United, it's very rare I don't enjoy a United game, if I do it's the nerves not the football.

I find myself frustrated watching other teams because the movement is poor or there's no passes on and they go back to the keeper or they just don't seem arsed, United are spoiling us at the moment.

FLDC Vs Ipswich is the worst game I've watched this season so far btw. Fucking awful.

This was a fantastic goal. Almost perfect - Freeman's slightly over hit pass for Cranie to chase was the only imperfection, although I'm sure Freeman would argue he made the goal by giving Cranie only one choice

Wilder is quickly making our recent history look very average indeed. Looking back at all our successful seasons over the last 40 years you have to say this is now the best football we’ve seen in well over a generation. Watching old vids of the Porterfield, Bassett and Warnock teams without my SUFC coloured spectacles on. You’ve got to admit they all look rather agricultural at the side of Wilders slick stylish Blades......No wonder the “functional” and “hardworking” derisory comments are proving so hard to shake off.

this team has competed in every game , bit more luck could have got something out of most of those we have lost

I’m not sure why people can’t appreciate the brilliant current side without having to denigrate the achievements of our other few successful teams from the past.

Are we not allowed to be proud of both of them? It’s not like we haven’t had loads of awful teams in between.

It's the run from Cranie that I loved the most about that goal. The interception, the incisive passing, that's great, but when your 32 year old reserve defender, who's made about half a dozen appearances this season, is so well drilled in the system, and has so much desire, that he starts in his own half, 25yds behind the ball, and decides to make an all out sprint to the opposition's touchline to join the attack and get a cross in; that's unbelievable stuff.

I remember very clearly us scraping past Leicester on the last day of the season to sneak 2nd place.

Wednesday also narrowly lost their last game to beunluckily be relegated.

I think there was a Green Un headline stating how close it was for both.
