Morning Blades!!
Now that tickets are more or less sorted, do we know which pubs were are allocated? Hoping for the 'Green man' again, The Atmosphere before the Hudders match was unreal, although I'm sure it was the same everywhere!! UTB!!!

The Green Man is usually one of the pubs designated to the west side of the stadium, which is where we are.

Like last time, when we were at the Green Man, and the time before that. On both occasions we had the east side of the stadium. The hot, staked out by the Apaches and left to die side.

Plus it's ran by a Blade

He's so big a Blade that he supports Leeds. ;)

green man is a dump, atmosphere v Burnley was good fun, v Udders it was ok but it'll be nice to have a selection of pubs on the high st. usually allocated to the team on the East Side.

Strange you should mention that Swiss. I can admit he is playing better now so people want to beat me with it. People who say that he has played like this all along are just being more stubborn that I was.
Not going to beat you up about it, just glad that he's proved to you that he's a better player than you gave him credit for (or not)

The beer is the worst I have ever bought and wouldn't go again.

I went in the Green Man before both the Huddersfield and Burnley games.

Great atmopshere on both days, just full of Blades enjoying the pre match and sunshine.

It was just a shame that on both occasions i came out of Wembley after in a bad mood, with a stinking headache after a defeat and drying out in the baking sun all afternoon

thats another thing, always gone down on the day previously which has included boozing from a ridiculous hour in the morning, getting to wembley, wondering around the dump that is before settling in the Green Man. This time going the night prior, supping in London, up at a reasonable time, Covent Gdn for berrs then off to Wembley.

We're travelling by car early Sunday. Plan to get to hotel drop bags off then head to somewhere close to Wembley. The Globe seems a good choice location wise.

Hotel is in Chelsea so doesn't seem to difficult to get there.

If you haven't been before you'll not regret it. Staying at Putney Bridge so not far away too.

Previous New Wembley visits have always been done via a limo......always a big let down. Looking forward to drinking in the atmosphere properly this time.

The Globe it is then.

As I said on another thread about pubs (there's a couple of others), I did the Globe at baker st v burnley and whilst it wasn't probably as packed as the green man or the torch (97), it was still full of blades and decent beers

After burnley a few of us met up in Leicester square but it was shite. Just a handful of burnley lads and us blades were the ones drinking champagne

I did The Globe and Metropolitan across the road at the side of Baker St tube station before the Burnley play off, not sure what the American and Japanese tourists made of a load of Blades some in fancy dress getting pissed :D:D:D must have gone home with a strange impression of us Brits.
