Provisional fixture details

The official site can bring you a list of provisional dates when games will take place in the 2009/10 Coca-Cola Championship season.

Some provisional points of note are:

-The season begins on 8th August and ends on 2nd May.

-No game on New Year's Day or Eve; the FA Cup third round takes place on Saturday 2nd January.

-Free international weekends on Saturday 5th September, Saturday 10th October and Saturday 14th November.

-Two games over the Easter weekend, Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th April, but only one on the August bank holiday weekend; Saturday 29th August.

-The Championship has ten midweek fixtures.

-March is the busiest month for League matches, with six in place. January has four, all others five.

-The Championship play-off final is on a Saturday and takes place a week before the League One and League Two finals. This is a result of World Cup 2010; the cut-off period to be included in a World Cup squad is Wed 26th May and the play-off final has to be before then.

The Club would like to stress that these dates are only an outline for the upcoming campaign, and they could be subject to change when the official fixture list is released on Wednesday 17h June.

The complete list of provisional dates for games is below. Please note that when games are listed as Wednesday, it simply signifies they will be midweek. Traditionally, more midweek games take place on Tuesday than Wednesday.

*Fifth round dates in the League Cup clash with matchday five in the Europa League. Therefore if we draw a Europa League team in the League Cup fifth round, we would have to move the League Cup tie.
