BT looks as though he's lost interest.

I wouldn't say lost interest... He puts a lot of work into every game and plenty of effort.... Sprinting back to cover right back again anyone???

I'd say he's frustrated more than anything, he's always been an easily frustrated player and when the game is panning out around you like it did today, it's very easy for that to happen.

BT looks as though he's lost interest.

Personally I don't think the service is good enough and he is getting frustrated.

I think he's trying to do too much.

How many times was he further down the field than all of the midfield? A few times at least.

Fair enough he wants to help a small team win the ball in key areas of the midfield, but when he's doing that, he isn't in the box to receive the ball from crosses or hopeful forward balls.

BT looks as though he's lost interest.

I think it was a frustrating evening for BT tonight. The balls just weren't coming in for him tonight, especially in the first half. He was having to come deep and drift wide to get the ball and was very frustrated on at least three occasions in the second half when he had bust a gut to get into decent positions for a cross only for the players concerned to shoot from silly angles and try to shoot through defenders

The other thing that doesn't help is having to run 20 yards onto a rubbish and completely random kick from Kenny, only to win the ball and have your team mates stood watching instead of gambling on your header.

The bad news is I am down in Sheffield this weekend for only my 2nd game of the season, and I rarely get to see a Blades win! Sorry guys! :-(

Not a referee are you?!

Yer havin a laugh............
Not good enough by a long way. BDTBL a fortress.........more like a library every week.

Garbage absolute garbage.

Naughton and Killa how long will they be at BDTBL ?

Spot on lad! It's only a matter of time before Naughton gets spotted and he's offmans, same goes for Killa, tonight should really have been a walk in the park, Saints played shit, and we hammered them in the second no end of ways. Just wasn't happenin', wouldn't say it was garbage though, like foxy said, frustrating is anything.

Last two we have had been diabolical

Only job I know where if you're shit, you get told to not bother coming in but still get paid.

By the way, it's busy on here after a match innit? I never usually bother but Mrs BB is downstairs watching Brokeback mountain. When I came in she said "Don't you want to watch it?". I said "Do I Buggery!":D

The front two were shocking tonight BT hardly won a header and was everywhere but where he should be. If his role is a target man he should stay up front and in the middle, Henderson with less ability is much better in that role. As for Webber the sooner he goes to Palace the better, a one trick show pony who never looks up and spots the pass, taking the shot in the first half tonight being a classic example when Cotterill was in acres of space. It says it all when the two best saves of the night were from kyle Naughton shots. so for me BB isn't far off the mark simply not good enough to get us out of this league.

Generally busier after a loss ;)

Not usually too bad though, it'll be all the more active if you continue visiting instead of watching Mr Ledger of an evening :D

thing is, a loss and a draw, not scoring in both yet we are a point off 4th and a better g/d.

not all that bad.

Why is kyle off? if i was playing for united i wouldn't want to go any place else for any amount of money.

It's not often that you'd find a player saying the same thing though.

That said, from his first interview, I'd be inclined (or hopelessly naive) to hope that Kyle Naughton could be one of a special breed. He'll know all about Dane Whitehouse and in what high regard he is held in Sheffield.

To be honest, Mike Dean cost us the derby, although Paddy's sudden conversion to The Roadrunner didn't help. Kelvin Davis saved Southampton, and it was like watching games against Palace when George Wood used to play out of his skin EVERY game and stop us scoring. We haven't put a run together that proves we're a class act yet, and the division's so tight we could just as easily be eighteenth. I don't agree with all BB's post but we haven't looked consistently like a top 6 side, let alone a top 2.

Criticising BT is typical Blade-mump. Who headed out Bristol City's only chance from under his own crossbar then? He works his socks off and is the best cf we've had in my time.

You need to ask yourself what was BT doing there, surely he should be upfield giving us an outlet from defence. Heading balls from under our own crossbar should be a defenders job.

I'll try not to go into rambling mode...

Come on, its early days yet, look at what was happening last season and we sneaked back up the table.
We are doing ok, staying with the pack, Wolves will slip down, they are losing confidence. The only teams I fear at the moment are Reading and Blues, but saying that I think we will get results against them at home.
No-one is really standing out, everyone is having good and bad games, we arent playing well and yet we are still up there. Wait till we start playing better which i'm sure will happen and as long as we stay in touch with the playoffs I'm happy. I have faith in the team this season, it's been a lot worse and to be fair I personally think this is the best squad we have had for a long time. And very soon they will click.
Did I ramble? sorry.

And scoring is a strikers job, should we stop sending our centre halfs up for corners now?
He's big and can win headers so surely its a good thing he's back helping the defence and with Webber up front then he can attack them 1 on 1 which would cause much more trouble for them than Beattie trying to hold the ball up and bring others into play.

As one of the bigger lads in the side (stop sniggering at the back) he should be helping out if needed.

BT..............he's all reight when he's scoring goals ;)
Blackies got a lot of work to do wi the squad..................my fear is can he do it ?

Well all I'm saying is the bloke you seem to think doesn't work hard enough actually worked hard enough to defend a corner - what should he have done? Let it in and then mumped at a defender? Give me strength! I think Nathan Dyer at 3 ft 6 might have been the 'out' ball....

I think Beattie needs to find that happy medium between being in the danger areas and helping out a physically small side defend against set pieces.
