Everyone seems to think that Norwich are nailed on to go up as champions. But why not us?

After those two phenomenal performances and results this week I think we should be aiming to win this league not just ride some one else’s coat tails in second spot.

Sounds good doesn’t it?

If you win away at Leeds, there's no reason you can't win the league.

Oh hang on, Norwich won there as well didn't they....

Mainly because they’re ahead on points is why most think not. That being said, we’ve got a reasonable run of games to end the season now. Interestingly the pigs still play Leeds & Norwich. I’d never want the pigs to win but should they do so, could be massive for us

I understand that it’s the blades way to play things down. I’ve been part of it for 35 years of attending bdtbl.

But we are good enough to win this league and I am NOT going to fucking Wembley again. I’m through with that.

One off three teams likely to do it. But it is a big ask to make up 4 points with only 9 to go. Relying on someone else slipping up.

Our deluded neighbours might actually do us a favour if they take points off Leeds and Naaarwich

Crazy season, Norwich arent as good as they think they are. Lets go and smash the lot up.

Don't give a shit so long as its the autos, UTB

So might Villa who seem to be hitting form

Problem with Villa is that they should be safe and sound within the top 6 before their last two games against Leeds and Norwich, looking at their fixtures.

Be right, who knows what might happen in those 9 games, you really can’t predict anything in this league, and even more so at this stage of the season.

What I did say once, with around 6/7 to go in League one it would be a big ask and pretty much impossible to win almost every game to get 100 points.
I was wrong.
I feel the same again now, except it’s to win the league!
It would be a hell of a run if we were to get the points to win the league given the run we are on already.
Though at the end of Jan I also said I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t lose again this season. We were tough to beat but can sometimes struggle to win ugly....well not any more!!

They won’t want to finish 6th so it depends if 5th is wrapped up.
As for us, I genuinely think we need over 92 points for the autos, so it’s a huge ask, but we’re on track.

Would love it if we did win lot. from memory im sure Norwich's run in is far more favourable than ours and Leeds.

In a strange way I hope pigs keep on within 2/3 points of play offs until they play Leeds and Norwich extra incentive for them to win rather than Nick a draw. In return we can do them a good turn beating Bristol city and Preston.... Us and the pigs doing each other favours. Makes you shudder !!

We would only need two draws. 1 point from any game could be incredibly damaging for us or Leeds, yet the Pigs need 3 points from at least on of those games for that 6th place which I think will be too much to ask, rather amusingly.

Because 4 points to make up in 8 games is difficult when you're trying to catch a team that isn't dropping many, plus their run in looks a little easier than ours. Anything's possible, but the fight is about not dropping into third rather than climbing to first (which I suspect is Norwich's view, too).

I'm glad we don't have to play Villa or the unclean, both doing well. PNE away is going to be an extremely tough game.

I think the problem is that we are 4 points behind them which means we have to do better than them in at least 2 of the remaining 8 games and match them in the other 6.

Undoubtedly we will both drop points. However, looking at their remaining fixtures I can't see them dropping enough points for us to be able to overtake them.

On the other hand, stranger things have happened and I wouldn't like to go into a final match of the season at Aston Villa needing to get something.

I think the problem, as Ricky said, is that it’s unlikelt that Villa are going to have anything to play for come those last 2 games. With the run they’re on at the moment, I think they’ll be safely nestled in and considering resting the likes of Grealish & Abraham.

I haven’t managed to catch any of Aston Villa’s last 4 games but very comfortable wins over teams around them; Villa, Forest and Derby and a win in their derby against Birmingham represent a great set of results. Jack Grealish must be some player to cause that kind of transformation. I’ve always rated him, but I didn’t think he was good enough to have this kind of galvanising impact.
