He also has the wealth (if the club don’t pay) to live in a hotel for 6 weeks if he wants to distance himself.

looks like he’s coming back to training now anyway

Can you imagine the conversation between the Government's Chief Medical Officer and Troy fucking Deeney 😂

Any one got two tickets both with two metre gaps on either side for Villa game?

You have to laugh. No football since March and the Mrs has laid the law down saying I'm "only watching united games" and not to leave her with the kids. No pleasing some people.

Without naming names and dragging up old posts what do those who said a restart would never happen think about the latest news?

Di you still think it shouldn’t happen? Won’t happen? Will restart but then get stopped again?

Do you still think it should be called null and void?
No promotion, relegation or Euro qualification for anyone?
Concentrate on being ready to play next season?

I’m genuinely interested if people have changed their minds as things have developed or if they’re just keeping their thoughts to themselves now?

I believe that we're going to have an artificial end to the season. Null & void would be artificial. League position as now would be artificial. Points per game or similar algorithm would be artificial. I wouldn't want any team to be relegated in one of these artificial ways. I still subscribe to that. I also feel playing football behind closed doors is one of the most artificial things. In a general sense, that's ridiculous. In an ideal world, I'd be strongly in favour of waiting, mothballing, getting the country safe & starting where we left off. With proper full on football with fans. But, the insane business model of elite football, with all the rewards & jeopardy out of kilter means that is impossible. So, we have to go for "least worse". Which it looks like is going to be Closed Doors. Otherwise the mad revenue streams would end & clubs would hit financial trouble. I get all that. And, the authorities & clubs deserve a lot of credit for arranging (as it looks at the moment) a way for that to happen. And, I certainly understand & recognise that many, many football fans are delighted the game is coming back as a "for TV spectacle". I wear my heart on my sleeve. My "thing" is going to live games. And I can't do that. Fair enough. These are unprecedented times. Naturally, I hope Utd do very well. But, I'll have only a passing interest in the fandango. I'm not saying that's right. And, I'm not trying to persuade others. Please enjoy it. But, that's my biased/balanced opinion.

Although it's going to be shite with no support, it's better than nowt.

Should maybe make home/away games less of an advantage/disadvantage?

BBC Sport on TV just mentioned Arsenal game will be first (6pm) and we are on at 8pm afterwards. Obviously we are not seen as an "opener" for the return of the PL. Expect no less.

"This opportunity creates an historic moment for the BBC and our audiences," director of BBC Sport, Barbara Slater said"

Don't celebrate too much luv remember whats caused this historic moment !
