They were probably all at the same poker night or something similiar but I bet they dont report on how they think they got it. As above didnt stop the Bundesliega going ahead. Didnt it also say the ones in German only had mild symptoms too and they went straight into self isolation ?

"unnamed players or staff"

so might not even be players.

Wish they would report it right instead of making it out as something its not.

When he was born five months ago he had breathing difficulties but he is okay now. Understandable he doesnt want to go in but he is also stating because of him being in the BAME group and being more succeptable.

Its difficult I know but at least he would be playing with people he knows and knows where they have been. If he went shopping he would probably be more at risk then going back playing football. So that to me says no one in his family goes shopping and they have it delivered. The question then beggars how does he get a delivery when they are scarce and difficult to book. Plus are you telling me in last 8 weeks he has been at home and never gone out once. The things that they dont tell you.

Not difficult to book home delivery... had one each week from week 2 of lockdown. Just pick right chain and re book another slot for following week day before your next delivery due !

This could become a Dr Kawashima style brain training idea whilst lockdown is on. Post unrelated reply in wrong thread 'Guess the thread' weekly quiz😂😂😂

Its less than the Bundesleiga players and staff had a few weeks ago. The Premier League would start again tomorrow if they could with those numbers. Their hope now will be that the constant testing will avoid a spike before next month.

It is yes, but then the 10 cases the Bundesliga reported positive were from 1700 tests from 36 clubs across two divisions, rather than from 19 PL clubs where they did 748 tests. Applying that positive per test rate, you’d have expected nearer 4 positive tests for the number of tests the PL clubs did. But as we’re not dealing with a particularly large sample I’d caution making a suggestion that this showed we were definitely in a worse position than the Bundesliga – it would definitely caution me from saying we were in a better one though, given the raw comparison.

We tried them all in the last 8 weeks only managed to get 1 from Tesco, and a click n collect from Sainsburys, and a Morrisons food box. Practically impossible in Wakey. Waitrose were out till June. Ocado wont do any. Asda impossible, Sainsburys dont deliver here only click n collect if you are lucky. Iceland have only just started having delivery slots and thats 5 days ahead. Loads of elderly/vulnerable people been complaining here on local websites. Only last 2 weeks its started to improve. Ive just been going to local co-op and main Sainsburys in Wakefield as the latter is not directly near houses or flats its been easy to shop at.

You have been lucky. Maybe its different in Watford too.

On a purely football note, it looks from Billy Sharp’s entertaining takeover of the club’s insta today like the squad has been put through a particularly tough sesh. Sounds like it could have been a mini Terror Tuesday.

Yes I was there at that match in 1989 with my Grandad, I think we won 2-1 on the day and beat Leeds Utd.

That’s not great. Presume you’re also checking your local butchers and greengrocers as loads in Sheffield are doing free deliveries. Not to mention brewers and other beer outlets 😁

It may cause issues to be posted that wrong replies are getting posted in wrong threads. A few drinks today popping up in the old photos for no reason etc lol! Techy help could become popular. I'll stop now and I can still laugh to myself throughout this whilst working from home. I am fortunate for that opportunity too.😎

I think either way the number is low enough for The Premier League to believe they can justify restarting

It's obviously he decision and you have to respect that, but he could easily stay at a team mate's house for the next 10-12 weeks if he really wanted to play. I can see clubs using this as a reason for wanting relegation to be scrapped.
Well of course they will.

But it really shouldn't. If players choose to not make themselves available for selection then, quite frankly, tough.

Deeney could do his knee in on the first day of training. He wouldn't then be available for the run in. It would set a very dangerous precedent.

If I choose not to work due to my concerns once we are allowed back in the office, i wouldn't get paid, my company wouldn't run to their governing body asking for extensions to deadlines or anything like that.

A total of 748 players and staff from 19 clubs were tested. Norwich City did their tests on Tuesday so will be included in Saturday's results. That means up to 40 per club. I assume 25 of them are from our PL squad, about 6 or 7 "home made" players plus 8 of our back room staff?

6 in 752 i think is pretty good. it was impossible to get a clean slate there was always going to be 1. for 6 & 0.79% positive isn't too bad

in the same way they have a biosphere to have these sporting events & how at some point in this calendar year without crowds we could see some sides go bust. no one i know has had a covid 19 test. how quick do you get the results. can you take a test & if your negative go in & if positive sent home. or is just got to face reality that next season outside of premier league isnt happening & no crowd til vaccine or we have to wear some weird suit
