Doncaster fan in peace, can anyone help me in anyway to obtain a copy of the programme for Sheffield Utd v Doncaster R (Sheff Co Cup) 1980/81 played on 8/12/80 (without any ink writing on). I would be most grateful indeed.

I've got some blank paper you can have. Just pretend it's the official programme.....or did I misunderstand something here?

Thats a big ask pal, why would anybody have one? Good luck with that

I may have some news for you on that.

I actually went to that game, Monday night game if memory serves. I think I have got the team sheet from that night, however only got one copy and as I'm into programmes myself afraid I'll not be selling it. From what I've heard the mid/late 70s / early 80s United home county cup teamsheets (and that's all the club produced for most of those type of games) are as rare as rocking horse shit, so when you do manage to track um down they'll be pricey.

Coincidentally do you know what historical event happened on the same day as that United/Donny county cup game? (No googling either)

Guessed it right, then googled to check.

Mark Chapman shot Lennon

I remember one CC match when Roy Ironside, Rotherham's goalie at the time, was pictured in the Star with the panels of the casey ball imprinted on his ribcage in the form of a bruise. It was inflicted upon him by a very young Alan Woodward!

* Edit: Roy was Joe's grandad by the way.

I know about the single/sheet programmes they produced, I do have a few, but not got this one, price is no problem as I go back to 46/47 programmes with Doncaster so I have paid a lot more

It was the PR round BLADES won 4v2 , Goalless first half me and another 675 in attendance , would have to go thru thousands of programmes , in the attic to find it , if i have it and have time , you could have it for free if you were a pig fan i would rather ........................................................................................
