Ornstein coming out with this today - action to be taken quick enough to save us or should we be worried too?Screenshot_20240114_230301_Reddit.jpg

“Mitigating circumstances”

Get fucked. It’s very black and white. You either over spend or you don’t.

In this case old Chansiri might have done us a favour.

Forest will say but we sold Brendan Johnson.

Not within the period you didn’t.

So you’re good for next year but you’re not good for the current period.

I’m afraid we can’t re-organise the Gregorian Calendar just for you guys.

If it says by x date then it’s by x date, not x+1.

Why would we be worried? You need losses of £117m over a 3 year rolling period to trigger any issues
Just seems like our luck doesn't it - always find a way to fuck up!

Makes you realise how I’ll-equipped we have been too.

If Everton and Forest get 10 points deduction, you’d still be confident they finish ahead of us.

We really have also been architects of our own downfall. They way we contrived to throw away 2 points against Villa, Hamer falling over, is not stopping the cross, Wes going walkabout. Then, vs Luton, despite a crap refereeing decision to award a corner rather than a goal kick, managing to concede two goals from zero shots to throw away 3 more points.

Just by being marginally less shit we should have been on 14 points.

That’s notwithstanding giving Burnley over 45 minutes for the second season running to boost their GD and ruin ours.

If clubs take that risk then theyWe've gone for the standard "be shit on the pitch" way this season. Bit boring for us.

I wonder if any other club in the top 2 leagues is in less danger of getting a points deduction for FFP than If
If clubs take the risk they have to accept the consequences.

BREAKING: Premier League to introduce change to FFP rules. Clubs will now also be subject to a minimum spend rule. This rule, dubbed the "Don't take the Piss" rule, is intended to keep the league competitive. Clubs found in breach will be immediately docked "whatever paltry amount of points they've got" according to PL officials. Repeat offences may also see parachute payments withheld under a "come the fuck on" clause for "sustained piss taking."

Epic , and could happen , to stop clubs like ours taking the piss and not even trying .

It’s like winning a 5 star holiday then staying in your room for the fortnight.

We’re embarrassing

I have said this on another thread, bin this nonesense off, clubs are clearly not arsed, will take the points penalty/fine and repeat it over and over again. Unless they get really tough. Just let clubs spend until they go bust. No our problem.

And not forgetting the two injury time goals against Spurs that lost us another three points.

No way will dem Toffees get 2 deductions this season when the offences were in 2 different seasons - any punishment for the latest offence is bound to be delayed till next season -the PL can't have the money clubs being relegated and risk having paupers like us survive.

The investigation probably wont conclude until next season anyway going off the last one

Worth noting that the clubs will have until 5 days after the season concludes to submit their arguments but that any final punishments in terms of points will still apply to the 23/24 season. We could be relegated by March but survive by June. 😂

Problem is, we'll probably still get relegated. Even if they suddenly give Man City a 100pt deduction as well.

That's gone can't go back.!
ffp could re-new our chances of beating the drop! at least the opportunity maybe there.
New start with an invigorated squad ! who knows! Get a bit of advice from Harry (Bassett) and at least have a go.
