Prince is taking over

What it said in the Sun was that “The Blades Boss” has met potential backers - which clearly meant McCabe, but Nixon interpreted that as Wilder had met them in his tweet. Obviously wrongly.

What Wit is tweeting is clearly withTufty’s OK, as if he didn’t like it he would soon tell him and they wouldn't be best mates any more!

Eh? Nixon wrote the bit in the Sun, didn't he? He's not going to misinterpret his own story.

We have won two FA Cups since the Titanic sank.

And a league 1 title trophy, and a division 4 champions trophy, and a Yorkshire and Humberside trophy, and 23 Sheffield and Hallamshire county cup winners. Tbh it's just been glory glory all the way.

That's at least 27 trophy wins in just over 100 years. Blades fans are glory hunters.

In time, the prince hopes he can use his influence to bring the best practice from the US sports he admires so much into the English game. He wants greater competitive balance, and revenue sharing.

'When I was appointed as the head of the distribution committee of the Saudi League, I insisted that revenue must be shared even though Al-Hilal, my club, were the biggest team, so that we could have a competitive league.'

WOW Now that’s what I like!

Personally, I'm not comfortable with investors from over that side of the World getting involved with our club
I suppose likewise, should we be comfortable with investors on our doorstep holding the club back from kicking on to the next level? Of course, no one knows what level of investment the Prince’s takeover would yield but you would imagine that it would be considerably more than what Kev would be willing to stump up, going on Kev’s history of, er... stumping up.

Bastard! - I was trying to keep that a secret from all the Man City and Chelsea fans I see at work

Just £40+ million to match it then.

What I don't understand is why Wilder hasn't told Wit to shut up.

Maybe he's gerrymandering, CW doing misinformation again (remember 1 permanent and 3 loans?). What surprises me is Wit hadn't been shut down by Wilder after Wilder getting both barrels from McCabe after Wit's first Twitter revelations. Could this suggest CW and Kev collusion?

Hearing a few Russian whispers ?
Anyone else heard that ?
Я слышал русские слухи, но не понимал этого слова.
(I've heard the Russian rumours but didn't understand a feckin word of it)

This is the only way I can see Mcwolly being involved with a club again.

His recent record is utterly appalling, quite why a rich consortium would what his face at the front is beyond me cos it'd scare the fuck out of any potential club.

Multilingual skills? If it's a Chinese consortium he'll be breaking out his best Fu Manchu impression.

Yeah, I know but over how long? How many seasons? Look, I'm not knocking Kev or what he's done but I do think that we'll never be able to push on to the next level with just McCabe at the helm and I don't think that he alone would be able to attract the level of outside investment that's needed for us to progress.

Do you know if the rumours concerning Kev not wanting or being able to match the Prince's transfer kitty ambitions are true or not?

Wit's been quiet on the latest news. Unless you think him saying "I honestly don't know how this one will play out" is inside info somehow.

"Waiting to see how it plays out" suggests there are variable outcomes which suggests the two owners are not both aiming at the same outcome?

Did he say that as well, or have you just misquoted me/him to make the sentence mean something else? In the quote I used he didn't say he was 'waiting to see'.

Either way, I've seen on his Twitter feed that he told someone Nixon had made up the fact that Wilder had met with investors. So he's clearly not keeping his mouth shut anyway. Ignore me.

No idea. Some say yes. Others say it's the other way around.

Then Tufty should have more sense. I’ve noted Wit’s loony right wing politics as well. He’s a fucking numpty.

Ahhhh, now we're getting to the crux of the matter.

The manager’s “best-mate” making public proclamations about a football club never ends well. The fact that his non-football utterances confirm he is a fucking idiot only serves to emphasise the desirability of him being content with his fifteen minutes of fame and returning to the anonymity he so richly deserves.

Twitter - providing 24-hour self-importance for nonentities.

It's very unprofessional and it would be disappointing if CW hadn't told him to STFU. We're a multi million pound business and these tweets are as embarrassing as the shit that comes out of West Ham via one of the Dildo Brothers' son.
If Wilder is taking sides he needs to make fucking sure he's chosen the right one.
This is turning into a bit of a clusterfuck

And whichever party is talking to 'investors' we need to bear in mind they're not a charity, they'll want something for their money and the smart ones will make sure they get it, whether we go up or not.
