Nope they are all 100% cast iron nailed on bang to right facts, in my opinion.

They would be wrong then.
I'm sure many people who lived through the 70's when the country was being held to ransom by the unions and subjected to regular blackouts, piles of rubbish left on streets, and the bodies of their loved ones put into refrigeration for weeks as the grave diggers and morticians had gone on strike again, would disagree with your opinion.

Don't blame Maggie for all the shit ....... "King" Arthur and his communist mates were more than capable of causing unrest, havoc and following their own political agenda ........ which had nothing to do with the average working man o_O

But somehow we survived, unlike our steel industry and our coal industry, thanks to the spiteful bitch (apologies to Fred T!)

I think "King" Arthur just wanted to see the Coal Industry survive, the selfish sod! :)

Typical United, takenover by new owners of a nationality whos great wealth, is based on huge natural resources of oil.
Just as the world collectively vows to turn its back on the internal combustion engine.

FFS, only in S2

Dark times ahead I fear. Not keen on this at all.

I at least won't be happy unless I recveive concrete reassurances that we will eg stay at the Lane and continue to play in red and white. Hopefully Kev is working on a list of non-negotiables right now, if they aren't already in the small print

So we've all had a chance to speculate and give our opinions.

But as wise as we are, does anyone know of any analysis of this by someone with expertise on these matters?

Seems like apart from the club statement, no one in the media gives a shit about this.

Am I reading the statement wrong?

It seems to me the prince has control of the club now and the negotiations are over the freehold and ground.

“Ownership of Blades Leisure Limited is governed by an Investment Agreement dated 30th August 2013 which provides for the transfer of control of Blades to the Prince. The Investment Agreement also includes a provision for the transfer of the Club in certain circumstances of the freeholds of Bramall Lane Stadium (and the long leasehold interests in the Copthorne Hotel and Enterprise Centre) plus Shirecliffe Academy and the Junior Development Centre at Crookes.

“In response to a process commenced by Sheffield United Limited, on 26th January 2018 UTB LLC, a company controlled by the Prince, served a notice exercising an option to purchase the remaining 50% of Blades Leisure from Sheffield United Limited. Both parties are currently in negotiation with regard to the remaining provisions in the Investment Agreement and hope to come to a final settlement in the near future.

"Served a notice exercising an option" seems to me like it's finalised and the mention of negotiations are "with regard to the remaining provisions" i.e. the freehold and the hotel etc.

Stop posting facts and make something up.

Sounds like they have agreed the Prince will take over the 50% and in discussions to agree with the property aspect.

Good catch by the way

My thoughts are….. it’s pretty much guesswork on all our parts as to the intentions of the Prince, if in fact he is taking control of our club. There seems to be a fair split of optimism & pessimism on the board therefore I suggest we approach Utd and propose a sit down meeting with HRH and forum members.
Now, it’s clear we can’t all go so we need to select a small committee, democratically elected by the members, for the members (four score years & all that, which is incidentally roughly how long it’s been since we won anything of note).
My nominations would be…

Pinchy – To get to the heart of HRH’s Bladeyness credentials

The Crab – Obviously there’s potential for commercial opportunities here…and who wouldn’t want to see the iconic red and white stripes emblazoned with a googly eyed crustacean

LYDON – To pitch in a few random questions that no matter how well rehearsed and advised The Prince was, he’d have to think on his feet.

Sean Thornton – Might be wrong but you have some background in accounting and financials ?….you can ask the serious stuff at the end when our new owner has been “broken” and more likely to be open with us.

I'd love to get involved, but I need to check if Kev has forgiven me for the "meat" pies I provided the other week.

And yet you still heap all the blame for our woes upon Thatcher ....... there were a lot more dangerous people around in that era than Thatcher my friend .......

James shield thinks the deal for the 50% depends on the property side but I don't see how he's got that from the statement, unless he knows something we don't.
