We passed double that already so we can't claim lack of backing
We can't compete with a club like Boro with a chairman worth 10 times ours has and 64 m pound in parachute money .

In fairness to the OP, it was very sobering seeing Sky's spending table pre match today. According to them we have spent 1M, not sure whether that is accurate or not but if it is then it shows the gulf of riches that we are confronted with.
I don't want us chucking money around on has beens and pension funds and I am glad that we are sticking to a wage structure. But we do need some quality reinforcements, not a lot, but a few, and these are unlikely to come at a bargain price.

Yeah but the team in 5th or 6th on the table had only spent something like £7mil though but we can't even stretch that far.

I'm reasonable happy to see how this team gets on in the Champ this season...but going forwards, if it's new money we want McCabe/Princey are not the answer....Wilder is ambitious after all..
