Apparently according to mr ticket man this morning in the ticket office, when we went to get tickets off Preston they were due to give us 3,000 and have only given us 1800. :(

Lass said to me we've got about 2,000 aye. They'll be gone tomorrow dinner.

Not bothered though, got the 9 I needed this morning.

just sell them 1k from the bottom tier. fuck em.

Wednesday give united 6'000 and you only give them half that its swings and roundabouts don't forget the club will take quite a few before they are sold to the fans for the friends and family and sponsors

It all depends on what they can sell.

If they fill it, it's no problem but if there's plenty of empty seats there'll be alot of unhappy Blades around.

It's why we only give 3,000 to visiting teams, especially against such as Wednesday where we'd fill out bit anyway. Wednesday can't fill their home end so they need to get the ticket sales in from somewhere :D

We got another thousand :)

Shame i still miss out :(

Does anyone want to give a 'less loyal blades according to the points system' a hand and give me a ticket? and get a free pint ;)

only got just over 9000 points. Surely they could give me a points per mile scoring system :D

Sorry... no spare numbers on 9900+ points here.

went to query my points yesterday to see if i could get a ticket for Preston only got just of 9k.

however just a warning to everybody keep an eye on the ticket office for correct allocation of points.

i dont go away that often but when i do i would appreciate the points.

for example i went to Palace on Sunday i have a programme, ticket stub and tube ticket. according to BDTBL ticket office i didn't go:confused:.

i purchased my ticket and i upgraded my 3year olds ticket to a NUS ticket for the missus to come with me. long story short no baby sitter so a mate said he would come with me and could i get 2 more tickets for his 2 sons. all good went to ticket office said i wanted to change NUS for full adult plus need 2 more adults and could we have all 4 seats together not a problem they did it happy days.

when checking points yesterday it came to light that when they swapped the tickets they decided to take off my loyalty points.

so we did a quick check to find out where else this had happened.

i always buy my tickets when my points allow then when they go on general sale i buy more for my friends. then i get the seats swapped so they are all together.

Emirates bought 2 tickets then swapped them for 5 altogether....NO POINTS
Hull bought 2 tickets then swapped them for 4 together....NO POINTS

obviously if they allow you to swap points surely they shouldn't take points off of you.

so the moral of the story is if anybody ever needs to swap tickets for any reason at all make sure they reallocate your points

rant over:mad:

that being said if anybody isnt going and has got enough points or knows anybody who isnt going and they wouldn't mind sharing their wealth of points i need 2 tickets and would appreciate the help :help:

It's going to be interesting what the loyalty point figure is set at should we get to Wembley.

As it stands, I've got just short of 17k loyalty points... I think Daz is on over 18k by virtue of coaching it and I think the highest requirement we've seen so far is for 11000 points.

I think if we go get through to the final (which let's face it, might not be likely), I think we can expect that more points are going to be required for the first week's sales.

I'll just echo what Geezza said too... some of my points are missing but I think they're mainly for coach travel and 30 or so either way isn't worth me arguing. I'd be very pissed if it meant the difference between getting tickets on Monday and getting them on Tuesday though.

When renewing season tickets, the box office staff ought to have been asking everyone whether they'd been registered on the online thingy and if they weren't, get 'em signed up.

IF we go to Wembley, then with 30+ thousand tickets, loyalty points shouldn't be much of an issue? I suppose they'll do the staggered sale thing to make it easier for the ticket office and prevent any need for huge queues, which makes sense, but they'll prob eventually get down to anyone on the database.

The only drawback of the points issue for games like Wembley is if you want to go with people who have diff numbers of points. I remember the Palace playoff, when I got a ticket earlier with a membership card (only 1 ticket allowed) whereas the people I would have gone with got theirs when they went on general sale when you could buy as many as you wanted (and we didn't sell out anyway!). It just adds to the work for both fans and ticket office if you end up taking tickets back and trying to swap them for groups together.

Still 2000 tickets left:

2,000 tickets remain for Friday night's first leg Play off semi final against Preston, priced at £20 Adults, £12 Concessions (over 60 and 16-21 year olds), £5 Juniors (under 16).

With current sales and short timescales in mind the Blades have now lowered the loyalty requirements to purchase tickets.

This match is ALL TICKET for Blades fans.

7 wheelchair and helper tickets are available priced at £20 disabled and free for the helper.

Tickets will now be on sale on the following times and dates:

Wednesday 6th May, 9.00am
9,900+ Loyalty Points
Tickets are on sale to supporters with 9,900 Loyalty Points or above.
1 ticket per supporter.

Wednesday 6th May, 1.00pm
5,000+ Loyalty Points
Tickets are on sale to supporters with 5,000 Loyalty Points or above.
1 ticket per supporter.

Wednesday 6th May, 5.00pm
2,500+ Loyalty Points
Tickets are on sale to supporters with 2,500 Loyalty Points or above.
1 ticket per supporter.

Thursday 7th May, 9.00am
General Sale
Tickets will be on general sale.

I understand the reasons, but it'll be very disappointing if we don't sell out.

2000 left? So we've only sold about 1000.

I can see why though. It's far enough from Sheffield that most people would probably need to take the afternoon off or leave work early to be sure of making it, and a lot of people will have spent the money they'd been saving for the playoffs on going to Palace when we had a chance of going up there.

Only going to the home game myself, too busy at work to take time off both friday and monday to travel to the games.

From what's being posted on BU (1100 tickets left at 10am) it looks like we should sell out for friday either this evening or first thing tomorrow.

The loyalty scheme is ridiculous especially when the idiots who work there create two different accounts under the same name address but when I want to buy a ticket they will not combine the points from the two accounts. I have approx 11000 in total but 5000 on one and 6000 on the other!
Surely they could apply a bit of common sense and sell me tickets, its obvious Im a committed fan!

i have the same problem mate

my name is Ashleigh (spelt like a girl i know)
anyway when i first started buying my own tickets from united they set up my
account just by me telling the geezer in the ticket office my name, address and all the other bumpth! anyway this season i decided to become a blades member for which i had to fill a form in anyway it turns out that my name had been spelt the traditional boys way on the system, and that id have to set up a brand new account and scrap the old one which i'd been collecting points on since they came in! the ticket office said i wasn't aloud to use the old account for security reasons however they also refused to transfer my points it's a complete joke! so i lost about 9,000 points luckily we haven't sold out much this season.

The scheme itself isn't ridiculous to be fair, it's just the idiots that work in the ticket office that ruin it

yeah i agree the system works in theory it just need's someone competent to enforce it,also a ticket office the doesn't resemble a shoe box is on my Christmas list mr mccabe

got 5 tickets earlier for friday + tickets for monday. Come on BLADES PLEASE DO IT THIS TIME, PLEEASSSSEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does anybody know if we have sold out yet or near to selling out. not that i need anymore tickets just interested to know what kind of support we will be taking with us.

According to someone on BU, 800 on general sale this morning. Will prob just about sell out.

i went to fetch another ticket for a friend last night at about 6pm. i asked if they where any left cause i wanted to swap my 2 tickets for 3 all together. the young girl behind the counter said there where plenty left and proceeded to pull out a large wad of folded tickets about an inch thick. i dont know how many tickets could possibly be in an inch thick wad but i would imagine there is a fair few and if that was just one ticket seller how many do the rest of them have. i wonder if like the OS keeps saying that they will actually sell out?

i wonder if like the OS keeps saying that they will actually sell out?

OS makes no noise about how many there are, just says:

There is still time for Blades fans to purchase tickets for tonight's play-off semi-final, 1st leg, at Preston North End, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Ticket Office at Bramall Lane will sell tickets for Deepdale only until 2pm on Friday afternoon - supporters are reminded that admission to the game is by ticket only.

For the purchase of tickets for the home leg on Monday the Ticket Office is open until 7pm today, 9am until 4pm on Saturday, 10am until 2pm on Sunday and from 9am until kick-off on Monday.

i'm sure previous ticket updates on the OS stated they were expecting a sellout but know it just says still time to buy. i know for definite the ticket office were expecting a sell out, when i first inquired about my loyalty points and found out that they had not reallocated my points from swapped tickets earlier this season the girl behind the counter told me they were expecting a sell out. does anybody know how many we have sold?
