Proper ground out a result today, both had enough chances to have 3 or 4 goals, Billy would have scored on another day.

Observations:

Egan, Basham and Stevens (not as much as the other 2) immense.

Dowell looked like a player playing out of position but did well to stem the flow once he'd been booked early on.

Fleck and Duffy weren't in the game at all for me.

McG won his headers (defensively as well) but neither him or Billy had much of a chance to hold it up.

Norwood went from the sublime to the ridiculous all game, pinged an inch perfect 50 yarder one minute then passed a 5 yarder to them the next.

Baldock was a good threat and did better against the kid from City than Dowell did from a defensive perspective.

They should have had a couple first half and early second half but petered out towards the end.

Massive win, UTB.

I agree with all of that, spot on, have a like

Millwall had a great win today. I fully expect them to beat QPR in midweek and they'll be on a real roll when we play them next week looking for a result to secure their place in the Championship
Have you ever considered anti depressants or power walking ?

What was the answer to the question though?

What do Boro have to do with us?

You've got to admit it was a bit of a strange comment.

You were right of course, I just like to see Boro' lose, I was getting excited - does that answer your stupid comment

I have got off the flight. It has been cancelled due to a malfunction within the cabin. At least I am not dead. Having sat on the tarmac for nearly two hours I get off to find we have won. I may be stranded here with no hotel to go to but Hey it's a fucking great day. :D
Where are you snowy, Doncaster?

At 11:30 today, Euston station, and having missed my original train (like a Madine red card, completely of my own making and frustratingly avoidable), I had a decision to make. Spend £90 on a new ticket for Preston, in the knowledge I’d probably miss the first 20 minutes, or head home, try and get a refund for any of it, and watch on one of the various streaming options.

I didn’t regret the choice. I couldn’t find my seat till the away end chaos calmed at half time, and had seen my life fly before my eyes as I was nearly swept down the stairs when the goal went in. But what a great day. No idea what went on before I got in, but we seemed a bit nervy and only really started to settle as the Birmingham goal news reverberated round the stand. All I can remember from the goal was Norwood picking out someone at the back stick (Basham?) before the keeper spilled it, and then much like the McGoldrick goal at Wigan there was a bit of pinball before he just seemed to stick it in the corner. At that point I was struggling to stay on my feet, as were plenty around me (was one of them Derek Geary?) and that was a great moment.

Think derekacorah has got most of the individual performances spot on. Egan was immense. Stevens was solid, but seemed a bit off it when on the ball (this continued when we returned to LWB during the 2nd half). Bash was superb throughout. Baldock did well. Dowell seemed to settle down and put a shift in. I was pleased Duffy started but didn’t think he used the ball well. Norwood was mixed. Fleck made a great block first half when things opened up. Hendo was solid. Sharp and McGoldrick did well up front, though there seemed a reverse of the Villa non-pass as Sharp opted to shoot 2nd half.

The game on Wednesday is going to be tough. Anything could happen. Can’t wait.

^^^This^^^

Delusion levels are always extreme in South Barnsley

Missed penalty and allowing 2 goals in the last two minutes screwed themselves.

Bristol and Derby both have a game in hand on them. They are done!

First time they have played against a good team since Brucie took over and look what happened.

Just pointing out that nothing is going to be easy from this point, Millwall will arrive knowing that a good result will probably see them safe
You're always pointing out how nothing's going to be easy
You have a very negative view of life

There is nothing negative in my comment at all. Millwall will be a tough game because it always is.
It'll be even tougher if they arrive knowing that they can get safe with a good result.

Still in Barcelona BB. Now bound for Bilbao in 15 hopefully and then on a bus. Eventually will settle down about midnight with the ifollow I hope. :D

Just back from Bilbao. Had a good 4 days mainly in the old town and obviously the Guggenheim.

I see your point, but I still think they will give Leeds a game, they normally have done in recent years.

And in the bigger picture we now have absolutely no worries about facing those spawny gits in the playoffs, even if it was unlikely anyway.

yes mate.. as soon as I hit post reply I thought ‘wtf am I going on about, it’s in our hands now’.

I don't agree. The one thing you can always rely on is their deluded stupidity.
They're only 6 points off the play offs, so a win next week and their right back in it because obviously everybody else above them is going to lose
You’re right. I did think along those lines once I’d posted it.

I will force myself to have another stout as punishment for not thinking how deluded those shitlickers are

Just got home, what a day, brilliant win, brilliant weather, brilliant support, everything was just bang on.
I've drunk to much, eaten shit(Not literally) and sung until my throat hurts n my heads banging.
GOD I LOVE UNITED!!
Well done boys n girls!!

Just looked on Quest and it didn't show the disallowed goal that Sharp 'scored' . I saw nothing wrong in McGoldrick'challenge, but maybe I missed something?

what a huge vital win that was, as Preston were the better team on the whole 1st half & even though we were better team 2nd half we had to ride our luck at times but in a game of so many chances for both sides it couldve been anything. meant i was a nervous wreck for after 1st 10mins when I knew this would be tough

but I said last Saturday still say it after beating preston, that there would be still plenty of twists and turns to go. all 3 teams will drop points at some point. i just wasnt expecting it to be straight away. thinking more aston villa but ive said since January this is going to the final day & it not getting easier so just as when we beat leeds it wasnt job done. bristol city is not doom & gloom.

I will tell you a secret though. They are 20th because they are not very good. In fact, they are quite poor.

The left side of our defence was very ropey early on. The case for Crainey starting with Stevens reverting to wingback at Brum is surely unanswerable, as we could have lost the game down that side before we scored. PNE did their homework and really focused on that flank.

Egan was a rock and Basham was nonstop. The biggest disappointment was Duffy who looked off the pace. Which was a crying shame because Duffy on form turns us from a solid unit to a footballing machine. Just not today...

I don’t want to be in Bilbao. Hate Bilbao. I was heading for Sam Sebastian for a couple of days but the replacement A320 had to land in Bilbao then got a bus to San Sebastián railway station arrived 23.30, no cabs and schlepped with 2 cases to hotel in the rain. At bar now cursing Vueling and getting pissed and angry.

That’s exactly what I thought.
How can a team be so tough to beat when they are near the bottom of the league.
If we underestimate then I agree we could in trouble
But Wilder has a great record (over the past 3 seasons) against struggling sides near the bottom.
He always respects Millwall and their style of play. He’ll know we need to be up for a battle.

Me neither at the time but I've not seen it back
