We lined up like that against Middlesbrough I think. Edit: that seems to suggest we played 4222 against boro. What I meant was we had enda at Lcb and dowell at Lwb against boro.

Swap Bash and Cranie and it’s the same line-up we used against Boro. I don’t think Wilder has started a game without three centre-backs and wingbacks since we settled on that approach in League 1 – I don’t think we’re going to ditch it today. We may well change it mid-game (Dowell enabling us to do so) but I expect us to start with Dowell wingback, Stevens LCB.
