So after last week's disappointing home defeat, we now travel to Deepdale very much in need of a positive result. Unfortunately though, Preston are not crap, and this is another very difficult game. They've suffered just one league defeat in their last 14 at home.....

Anyway..

Any team news? :)

Duffy still out?

Madine 3rd match of his suspension

JOC back fit?

Superb following expected from us today, so I hope the lads put the performance in that we all want. There's still a lot of football to be played but I do hope we come away with the points. Head says 1-1, but I'll go with my heart...2-1 Blades victory

Safe journey all..

Definitely think we will bounce back today, so much to play for, they will be fired up and ready to go.
Don’t think Duffy will be back but we will still have to much for them.
0-3 and me to lose all my cash in the Grand national

Most pundits in the papers predict the gap will widen with us drawing and Leeds winning

We always seem to struggle at Deepdale, but so do Leeds.

It's a BIGGIE today but not the be all and end all, however if the gap widens today then midweek might be.

Setting off soon, if we play like we know we can, Duffy or not, then we can beat any team in this league.

UTB.

New ground for me this one. Only other new ground I went to this season was the Hawthorns – same again today hopefully.

It's about a 20 - 25 minute walk from the town centre, some old back street pubs on the way, if you are fancying a beer (The Grey Friar, Wetherspoons is another good choice, typical spoons place, huge).

PNE usually put on free buses after the game, to get people back to the train station.

Morning all hope this helps travelling Blades fans coming to Preston today
Im ProudPreston29 from PNE Forum http://pebbleleague.com/

Leaving you two links
1) our match thread http://pebbleleague.com/thread/8558/pne-sheff-utd-6-19

2) @PNEPolice offer an none away pub policy trusting that fans shouldnt all be forced into one pub and try to offer a friendly enjoyable away day out so this is Pebbleleagues guide to all the pubs away fans are welcomed into http://pebbleleague.com/thread/8517/away-day-thread

Have a great day apart from the result

Extremely tough game to day but we need to win if we're going to stay in contention for automatic promotion. one goal either way will settle it

Must match Leeds results over the next two games, I don’t see us coming back into it if we go four or more points behind top two with the games running out.

Two point swing today.

We’ll beat Preston and Leeds will draw with Birmingham.

We’ll finish the day 2nd.

I have absolutely no problem with grinding out results at this time of the season, but at the same time I would like to see us be a little more expansive & impose our style on Preston today. We have had a great run of results apart from last weekend based on strong defensive displays, which is satisfying, but at the same time I would like us to be a little more proactive & take the game to Preston. Preston have also informed United that Pyrotechnic Detection Dogs will be in operation outside the stadium and supporters will be searched before gaining entry.

Sky sports reporting Duffy out.
Expect a good performance after Bristol. Just hope the result will match it

Never thought I’d say this - but I’m really looking forward to getting Gary Madine back. We lack game changing attacking options without him.

As with Saturday, I just can’t see how we can change things for the better if we’re chasing.

I would have started Cranie, or Stearman today with JOC out. Away at Preston we should be setting ourselves up to be solid first and foremost.

Take it we are playing 4 at the back then? 4222 formation?

Enda at Lcb dowell at Lwb is how I see it.
I'd be very surprised if we line up like that. Fleck and Norwood holding, Dowell and Duffy attacking mids and Didz and Sharp up front is how I see it

Every time I've vocalised my displeasure at the starting XI, Wilder has proven me wrong and the Blades have won.

I highly disapprove of this starting line up.
