Removing Nigel is not something the board did lightly, as he is a super chap, and will be a chum for years to come, but I believe this is a move that will benefit Sheffield United in the short, and long term.

Sharp as captain, fantastic news. Already liking Wilder. Making McEverley captain was one of Adkins early bizare decisions, in what became a catalogue of baffling decisions. Doesn't bode well for McEverley being retained. Hopefully his next move will be to bring Scougall, McNulty and Freeman back into the fold. These are good young players with the potential to improve, unlike the likes of Hammond and McEverley.
