It's a new Professional Development League format for 2025/26, so we have no precedent. But, with that result, the Carrier Bag Firm are speculating....

Confirmed in a Top 8 spot - so in the play offs
Confirmed in a Top 4 spot - which we think/hope will give us a home tie in the round of 16
Confirmed as the highest finishing North Group team.

get them in go the remainder, see who sinks or swims.
Are you paying the fines for doing that? Or are you happy for the fines to come out of the transfer budget?

I assume you’re also happy to also annoy any senior players who may have appearance/goals/clean sheet bonuses in their contracts?

You’ll also need to account for the potential lower income from finishing lower in the league.

With the switch to one single national league table in order to move to the new PDL/PL2 Play Off structure (which I support btw), it's better to describe United as "the highest finishing North Group team" rather than "Champions".

But, you know, same thing...
We're toe to toe with Brentford. But their game in hand could be crucial

Should have said Brentford not Bournmouth. Bees have used there B team for years to blood young foreign players they sign with there style of recruitment! It has worked for them.Looks like they have invested in a youth policy but not an academy like us.
There chairman always supplied the funds for them.

I'm not sure what you mean. No worries. But, Brentford have invested in an Academy like us. Like us, they meet all the requirements to be graded as Cat 2, and compete in the Professional Development League.
Sorry if I've misunderstood your point.

Sorry Phil ! Brentford didnt have an academy! Obviously as you say they do now.
They had a B team who played fixtures against other clubs. We played them a few years ago before they had an academy drew 2-2.
Being in the prem for a number of years gives them the extra finance to build the said academy .Brentford and Bournmouth two small clubs who have benefited from rich owners! Looks like Wrexham are going to have the same opportunity.
Frustrating for clubs like us ! Wed Derby and a good few others who traditionally have had periods of success and then faulted. That was how it was and clubs would do well again.! Much harder now unless you have a suger daddy.

Think the premier league rules made them have to invest. The owner scrapped it before thinking it wasn't good value. They play at Staines Town's old ground now. Lovely little set up a few hundred yards from the Thames. Saw our lot play them there in August. McCabe built it/owned it previously and it's always been a terrific pitch. Wouldn't mind us eventually having our own smaller stadium for youth and women's sides if we ever get cat 1.
